10 stops away and 35 minutes left until 10.30

Show us pics when it gets here! I'm stuck at work so I won't get to play with it till tonight :(

I really do feel like this is going to be my last purchase for a new iPhone for a while. It doesn't make sense for me to upgrade next year, but who knows I may just give in lol

Hi - is it not a huge hassle to have to re-enter passwords and log in details for all your apps, email accounts etc? I have over 200 apps on my iphone.

I always restore from an encrypted backup on itunes - which negates need to reenter most passwords

I use an encrypted backup too, but I also use Keychain & 1Password.

Most of my passwords are saved in iCloud Keychain so I don’t have to type them in physically. The only ones I don’t have in iCloud are for my 2 banking apps.

Therefore, what is the difference (when setting up a new iphone) between an encrypted itunes restore or a icloud restore with keychain?

I seem to be having a weird issue on my XS - well, its a not issue really but just a little strange..!?!!

I cannot get the live wallpaper to work on my XS, on my Lock Screen (locked or unlocked)?! No matter how hard I force press the screen, neither of the 3 live wallpapers will animate on my lock screen?!!

I don't have Low Power mode turned on so its not that which is preventing it?! The only screen thing I have turned off, is the Raise to Wake feature but I highly doubt that this makes any difference...?!

The live wallpapers do indeed work when I force press the screen within the 'set wallpaper' section in the Settings app, its just that they don't then animate on the Lock Screen...??!

Again, no biggie but just can't get them to work!!!
[doublepost=1538035008][/doublepost]

I've had zero signal issues myself on EE so far......!!!

I just went to the Wallpaper section in the Settings app and changed the Lock Screen to a non Live wallpaper. Then went to the Lock Screen and saw the new wallpaper and locked my screen.

Then, touched my screen to wake it up (have Raise to wake turned Off), unlocked the phone, went back to the wallpaper section and changed the Lock screen wallpaper back to an animated one, and strangely, this now does indeed animate on the Lock screen (it 100% did not, before?!?).

....perhaps it had become stuck or something?!!
:)

Gremlins?

How do you like your iPhone otherwise?

...yea, its great!!! I love the smaller form factor vs my huge 8 Plus (which felt overly big in the pocket!). Not having a home button also, is totally a non issue - I adapted within about half an hour!!!

Face ID is sometimes a little hit and miss (it will sometime activate right away but other times, I have to stare at the phone before it unlocks!) but other than that, definitely made the right choice choosing the XS over the XS Max.

My Forest Green Apple Leather case, is, also, gorgeous - I tend to only go for blue cases but this green is just something else!!!

How about yourself?!

Thought you might prefer it over the 8 plus, what color did you settle on?

Regarding Face ID, there is a toggle to disable that feature so the phone unlocks without looking directly at it. It should be in the setting >Face ID> attention.

I can’t post any pics until Tapatalk updates there app. But I made out like bandit .

Forrest green is great in sunlight, and looks black at night. It’s gravy.

I’m loving the new max and s4 Apple Watch combo.

Probably nothing. I haven’t done backups on iTunes for many years. Partly because iCloud is more convenient but also because I don’t have enough storage space on my computer to do full backups of all my devices.

If Face ID asks you to input your pin, do it as it “learns” more about your face and will improve the more times you use it.

Really? There seems to be so much stock out there at the moment, I'm genuinely surprised you haven't got one yet.
There is stock but it’s getting snapped up quickly. All configurations of the max were available for in store pick up at my local apple store yesterday but today most of them are out of stock. I think the carriers have a lot of stock for once though.

I would have thought, they'd put one aside for your reservation though. Hopefully soon you'll get one

no straight answer to that I’m afraid.
