It becomes an obsession at around this time. As does refreshing the Online Store for the order status. Silly really because we could just sit back for 48 hours and wait for the doorbell to go. ?
Yes, on the other hand, keep refreshing the status will only make us more disappointed if it doesn’t not arrives this Friday

i really wanted the 16GB RAM but can't justify paying £550 more for it especially when i don't need 1TB. 256GB is plenty for me. suppose 8GB will be fine.

the vast, vast majority of ipad pros will be 8GB. Never mind the previous gen ones with 4/6GB. 8GB will be totally fine

I have a 10.5 512GB cellular Pro. I upgraded to the 12.9 1TB 5G for the extra RAM, over the 512GB I should really have got. The only reason is that I've more money than sense now I'm divorced and don't have my wife leeching off me :D

Happy to see lots moving to PTS! Hopefully mine does too!

Yeah I bet especially people with June/July deliveries. Just FOMO though.

Those people will be the "Well yeah, I never buy the first batch of anything, I wait until they iron all the bugs out from the first batch and then buy a later batch, I'm totally cool at not having it Day One", people grumpy they didn't get it on Day One lol

yup! didn't realise the iPad i had been using (10.2" from 2019. it's not mine) has 3GB and the iPad Air I was going to buy has 4GB. So 8GB sounds good :) I was just worried cause i want to photo/video edit on the iPad and maybe some music recording and i'm used to 32GB of RAM on PC. i haven't had my own iPad since the OG came out in 2010.

O2 online shop have the 11" (all memory sizes) shipping in 2-3 days.

12.9" is still showing "delayed" for more than 6 weeks (sad face).
i've never bought anything from O2 in my life. are they good? do they do wifi only models or only cellular?

my amazon order isn't coming until the 28th. i was gonna try get an ipad from my local apple store on friday but might be tempted to order from O2.

yeah the M1 makes you compare more with PCs, but ios/ipadOS are much leaner so no worries there. I'd bet a chunk of that ram is used by the memory controller for the 1/2TB storage so you probably don't have 16GB usable anyway.

You may get more layers in procreate etc but I doubt it'll be anything critical
