Sorry to dig up an old thread, but are there any specialist technical positions at Apple Stores, i.e. those that just stay in the back room repairing kit and are not customer-facing, or do the Geniuses do that?

I think the Geniuses do it but it may depend how good you are in the back room. I know a guy who was one and he spent his whole time there organising the back room because apparently it was a bit of a mess. But he didn't keep working there after he was done with that.
 
Brining back an old thread, but I have a couple of questions.

Do you have to go in part time or can you go in at around 32 hours per week?

What is the salary for a specialist?

How many days do you tend to work a week? 5,6?
