Sorry to dig up an old thread, but are there any specialist technical positions at Apple Stores, i.e. those that just stay in the back room repairing kit and are not customer-facing, or do the Geniuses do that?
I think the Geniuses do it but it may depend how good you are in the back room. I know a guy who was one and he spent his whole time there organising the back room because apparently it was a bit of a mess. But he didn't keep working there after he was done with that.
