Ordered M4/ 16GB/ 512GB as well.

Will be a step up from my 2014 Air on Big Sur
Got cold feet about the memory, so cancelled my original order and ordered M4/ 24GB/ 512 GB. Would rather be comfortable knowing that it has a bit more head space. Now due on the 11th

Yeah I have a 2014 iMac i7 32gb with 1TB SSD which is an “Office PC” I need to replace.

I have a 16” MBP M3 Max 16/40 64GB 2TB which I do most of my stuff on.

Can’t decide if I get the M4/24/512GB or the M4/32/512GB, or either of those 2 with 1TB.

I have a NAS and access to a thunderbolt enclosure with a 2TB nvme.

Decisions decisions.

i went the other way, ordered 32GB/512GB then realised its way way more than i needed so just went with base one should be enough for what i need for the moment, if i feel its not will deal with it when the times comes.

also i do need to post more 54 messages in 19 and half years isn't a good average at all

Just ordered the base model. £599.

Will be attached to a 4k screen most of the time, and if I take it on holiday, will attach to iPad Pro If no tv available.

I ordered the 16GB/512GB. A nice upgrade from an M1 MBA 8GB/512GB which just gets used exclusively in clamshell mode. Order status just changed to preparing for dispatch (of course delivery not till the 8th!).

I wanted the top of the line m4 pro with 1tb and 64gb. It's now showing 2nd Dec. Interestingly the iphone 16 pro max is in store now in the high specs in the uk suggesting sales haven't been all they could be. When I tried to get the 15 pro max when that came out it took months before you could walk in off the streets and pick one up.

I have just ordered my first ever Mac I been a PC user since the days of ME but have got fed up over the years and not being able to upgrade my perfectly usable Pc to Windows 11 was the final straw.

So I have gone for the base model Mini being delivered on the 8th Nov, looking forward to it a new learning experience for me after using a PC for so many years.

I am an Apple fanboy got all the kit iPhone iPad and Watch so hopefully all will be fine.

I was like you a few years back, but the bullet and went with a Mac (already had phone and iPad too) and wouldn’t go back.

I used to be up to speed with windows pcs, but I just want to switch it on and let it work, and Mac seems to do that for me.

Just ordered an M4 and upgraded RAM to 32GB and storage to 1TB. Delivery is now from 15/11 which suits me as wanted delivery within the Xmas return window, which I suspect will be from this Friday. Didn’t need a Pro as have an M3 Max 16” MBP.

Due to de BTO lead times I have ordered the base M4Pro that is delivered this Friday and a BTO 14 cores / 48GB RAM.

Both with 512GB base storage.

I will return one.

Because I do not need 2 and I am not sure about memory. I currently have a MBP with 32GB that I have usually speared memory but 24GB seams low and 48GB too high and also expensive.
Ah OK. Your post gave the impression that you had ordered the base because the BTO would be some time away, almost like you'd use one til the other arrived.

Yes also a bit as that. If the BTO was available early I would give a try first.
