As I've been lurking to share your news and frustrations at Mac Pro ship dates, I thought I'd let other UK users know that my Mac Pro with X1900 shipped today!

It's coming from Ireland and Apple says it will be here by the 7th.

It's a standard spec except for the X1900 upgrade and downgrade of HD to 160GB. Ordered on Aug 8th.

I'm excited now :D

Good news, glad to hear they're shipping in the UK now.

Did your date change from the original shipping date, if so what was it?

I'm also in the UK and also ordered on the 8th, still showing 14th for delivery date, although I also have BT & Wireless.

Yep. I originally had shipped by the 12th and delivered by the 14th. Those dates didn't change until I logged on just now to check and it said it had shipped.

Hopefully that means yours may be about to ship too...

Might want to call them up - they told me mine would ship and be delivered between the 8th and 14th, but my online status hasn't changed.

Four days. Oh my.

Nothing showing yet, fingers crossed that it updates overnight.

Is it possible to wear out a refresh button! ;)

It's all right for some! Mine's still showing a shipping date of the 27th September (ordered on 20th August).

Enjoy your Mac Pro!

I'm in the UK too - my mac pro with x1900 and BT/airport shipped today. Estimating a whole week and a day for delivery so we'll see what happens with that. :D A whole week and a day? what do they do with it in the meantime? Is it delivered by donkey overland from ireland? still, i'm pretty happy right now!

oh and just to let you know, I checked my order status about 30 minutes before I got the email and it still had the original date in, 23rd of september. So stop pressing reload in there and start pressing reload in your inbox.

I had the despatch email from Apple this morning for my Mac Pro - with X1900XT, Airport and Bluetooth. For a time the Apple status page was saying that it was shipped on 2nd Sept (Saturday), and due to be delivered today (4th Sept) but I felt certain that was going to be updated. Although Apple now predicts nine days for delivery, I can see from the tracking at http://www.apecode.com/appletrack/ that it's coming from Cork... perhaps Apple are working on the assumption that it's coming from China?! In fact the tracking page suggests that it was shipped on Saturday. A case of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing, methinks. I think the only time anyone can be certain where his Mac is is when it's coming through the door!

So true.

Apple now have two different dates for me. On the order summary page they've updated the delivered-by date to the 7th from the 14th. But if I "Track this shipment" they estimate the 13th.

At least we know they're coming now. Having waited for Apple kit before I'm prepared for the inter-continental trip / loss / general confusion that happens at this stage ;)

Same thing happened with my two mac pro's from apple store. Ship date said one thing, TNT tracker said another. Actually arrived 2 days earlier than either suggested both times so good luck!

If you're in the UK go to TNT's website (http://www.tnt.co.uk) and click on track international order (all Apple stuff comes via Cork and is classed as international) use Apple's reference number and the TNT website will show you a step by step delivery track.

Well my Mac Pro showed up at the door this morning, delivered by UPS. So much for the theory that it was going to be delivered on the 13th, Apple... I'm pretty impressed that it was delivered less than 24 hours after I got the despatch notification, but am not so taken with the completely lacklustre 'official' tracking systems - sort it out, Apple!

All those who have ordered a Mac Pro and it hasn't been despatched yet, don't go mad...

still not shipped yet

I just checked the Order Status page on the Apple Store - no change from ship on 12th, estimated arrival date 21st. (Ordered on 8th August - 2.66, 2GB Ram, 500GB HD, X1900XT, BT&AE).

Also no email from Apple either:(

However, I have had things arrive before receiving despatch emil notification before. Lets hope that this is one of those occasions.;)

Congratulations for those who have received theirs:cool:

Looking forward to seeing some benchmarks and first impressions on anything that relies on the video card.

I think that the basic chassis is made in China, but Ireland then assemble the computer according to customer sepcifications (i.e. adding Ram, HD's, Optical Drives, Graphics Cards, etc).

I ordered almost exactly the same system (2GB RAM instead of 1GB) on August 11th, but still not shipping here :(

Dutch Apple Store still says shipping date is Sep 15...

It is just a little bit of a disaster...

UPS has proven to be little better. My Mac Pro (stock 7300 graphics) appears to be stuck somewhere between being loaded for delivey 20 miles away and getting to my door - and has been for the last 5 days.

Looks like UPS must be using the same pack-snales TNT used to deliver my Mac Mini last year.

I will go mental very soon, ordered the thing as soon as the online store opened on August 7th (just hours after it was announces) and it's still showing ship date 11th - arrival 20th. C'mon - is it coming from the Moon or what?

I'm just waiting for the first people in the states to get theirs and post their findings. Some of them were due to get theirs today and its almost ten o'clock out there!

Waits with bated breath...
