My 64GB 3G iPad just changed to Shipped on the US and UK sites with the following on the US site:

Shipped on: May 22, 2010 via TNT UK Ltd

So this appears to already in the UK? The tracking number on the US site currently doesnt work so im assuming information is not yet active on the TNT website.

i think their using tnt uk as this is the destination country

Mine has Shipped during I was watching last night's Lost! Awesome! No email confirmation yet, very exciting!

Edit: Mine has shipped with TNT Nederland according to the US site. Is it in China or Holland?

And we're off!

Now been shipped via UPS...

Wonder why some are TNT and ours is UPS?

TNT shipping from China, UPS shipping from.....? Also dock and iPad have different tracking numbers

As long as they get here, on Friday 28th, we'll be happy and, probably by the early part of the afternoon, a little drunk!!

It's like Christmas but 7 months early :D:D:D

Just got confirmation email from Apple with:

We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 28.05.2010.

Ace :)

It is looking like the wi-fi models are shipping TNT from China, and the 3G models from Europe, with the UK ones shipping from the UK! I'm still betting Apple has asked for delivery to be held until the 28th.

My 64GB 3G still 'Not yet shipped'...

I've got a 16GB WiFi and Dock on the way via UPS.

Wish I'd ordered a case at the same time but alas, indecision means I'll have to wait for the 7th of June for that!

Mine shipped today. From the email:

"We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 28.05.2010"

Is the "on or before" a standard wording in Apple delivery emails? It's probably a red-herring.

Well the ones that started travelling from China yesterday dont seem to be going anywhere in a hurry, havent really moved for about 24 hours, wonder when their journey will continue.

Congrats to those who have discovered theirs are shipping & shipping from within the UK :)

Somebody said the 3G ones are coming from the UK via UPS? That would suggest they'll already be here, meaning they don't need to worry about the volcanic ash, meaning we'll likely not get them early.

For the record, my 64GB 3G with case, dock and Vodafone SIM hasn't been shipped yet, just says prepared for shipment.

I seem to be getting a different screen to everyone else.

If I follow the link in the confirmation email, it takes me to my order summary. I have a grey "Track this shipment" button, which I click, and I get the following:

Excuse the crappy arrows, but which number is the TNT tracking number? None of them work.

Carrier Tracking Number, I wouldn't expect it to be in the system until Monday at the earliest though. Likelihood is Apple have requested the shipments be held at depot.

just got he email... my ipad has shipped.
32gb wifi and case

i have a tracking number and my courier is UPS. can't find the tracking information on the ups site.

My order just shipped a couple minutes ago, via TNT UK!

Edit: Oddly enough, they've not taken payment from my debit card yet...!

But that goes back to the question of the Carrier Tracking Number being too many digits for TNT, doesn't it?

Not that I'm worried. Just curious. Not expecting anything to arrive before Friday.

I'm thinking that it says on or before the 28th because it isn't something that hasn't been released yet. And since the appstore is already live I don't think apple would actually mind if order are delivered earlier than the 28th.

Let's hope it does.
