I just spoke to the Speke depot and I asked if it would be at all possible to ask the driver if he thought he'd be making my delivery due to me being in an office block, receptionist leaving at 5:30pm etc.

Got a call back and was told that the driver said he would be with me within 45 minutes - that was around 20 minutes ago. So I'm still hoping...very very slightly!
 
Mine finally arrived! And all I can say is wow! I hope all you others get yours today!

Sokay, thanks for the info -- I don't mind getting it later or taking a train ride to the depot, I just wanna know which way the wind's blowing...
 
This is getting rather annoying! I'm still waiting in Guildford for my iPad from the Byfleet TNT depot that was meant to be out-for-delivery at 7:30 this morning.

Oh well, at least I'm not planning to go anywhere this evening.
 
RIDICULOUS!!

Waited in all day for them to tell me the driver has run out of driving time! Now I have to decide whether its worth it to do the 60 Mile round trip to go and get it or not.....
 
I'm at work, TNT tried to delivery today but my partner was out getting kids from school. Despite having a note signed by me on the door requested the order be delivered next door, they refused to deliver and went away just leaving me a note with 3 options: 1) Pick up from delivery depot (which is in the next town - miles away), 2) Re-schedule for delivery (except tomorrow as for some reason they WONT try again tomorrow, or... wait for it... 3) Re-deliver and leave with neighbour(!) wtf!

btw - my partner was literally home < 5 mins after they posted the note and has been trying all afternoon to ring the depot so they can contact van and get them to try again today, but no-one at TNT appears to be answering the phones this afternoon.

As you can imagine, someone is gonna get a few 4 letter words directly at them when i finally get hold of an idiot at TNT. It shouldn't be too hard, i suspect they employ a lot of them... :(

God only knows when i'll be getting my iPad with these jokers....

Let me know how it goes I live in Liverpool city center and still waiting on my delivery from TNT

Well even more annoyingly, a workmates iPad just arrived by UPS, where my TNT parcel has shown no signs of turning up... :mad:
 
Well, as the delivery driver promised; I am now the proud owner of a 16GB WiFi iPad.

It has just been delivered 5 minutes ago in Liverpool city centre. Good thing I finish work in 15 minutes :)

Hope you all receive yours!
 
TNT Crawley said they still might deliver; leave it till 6.30 and call back.

They said I could come up to the depot and collect it after 8pm - apparently they're open 24 hours, but 5.30-8 is their busy time...

BN1 and giving it another hour. ;)
 
All's well that ends well.

iPad left with guy in a house down the street - he was out washing his car, knew the delivery man from TNT and offered to take the parcel in!

Now all I need is for my wife to get back to unbox her present.

I think I apologise for being a naysayer yesterday.

Hopefully most of you have already got your hands on this thing of beauty and are truly enjoying it.

TNT coming to E1...
Seems to have been a problem... doesn't look like it is coming today.
This is what my tracking says...

27 May 2010 14:30:00 London City Delivery Issue Resolved. Delivery At First Opportunity.
27 May 2010 11:32:25 London City Shipment Held In Warehouse. Follow Up Actions Underway.

I spoke to the depot. they were v. polite and said that they had an extra 3000 packages above their normal delivery today. Said they would be delivering until 20.00.
