to be honest, why email apple?

at the end of the day, they said tomorrow delivery, today is a bonus...

the tracking has been pathetic to be fair but i think its more of a case of apple releasing the tracking info too early for the couriers systems..

i just genuinely dont see the point in emailing and moaning at apple?
Yes, a bonus for you.. but I don't see how it's fair that tons of people are getting it today, while a few are left out. If they say 28th is the launch then they should either stick to 28th or if they decide to release a day early then release them ALL a day early...

Ta Nordic, that's somewhat reassuring - have you been waiting the whole time? I've been out at work all day and come in to no delivery note -- I guess they'll be turning up late in the day down south? (BN1)

Yeah, been waiting all day. Not looking likely now, I hope it's top of the pile for tomorrow morning.

but thats life mate, all youll do is ruin it for everyone and possibly yourself next time round as theyll hold it back religiously if people complain.

also blame the couriers!!! apple havent told them to hold your ipad! they are choosing too, maybe they dont have many to deliver so can manage it all tomorrow?

i do understand and id be gutted if i didnt get mine today, but they said 28th so i certainly wouldnt be emailing them complaining today, tomorrow fair enough....

just to add its very rare i get stuff delivered on time, let alone early... its normally missed deliveries and wait a day or two

Did you catch my earlier post about collecting from the Crawley depot? They're open late if you can be arsed to drive/hop on a train to Three Bridges...

Just had a UPS van parked outside my block of flats... which means... some other bugger just got their iPad! Grrrrr... TNT!

:( I don't believe it. I was at work when they tried to deliver my iPad. Rang to arrange a pick up and was told I could only pick it up if I had a government provided photo id. card. Unfortunately I don't drive and I don't have a passport!!

I rang UPS and they said it was Apple's requirements not theirs. So if I wanted to change them I'd have to contact Apple. So I did that, and Apple said you shouldn't have received it today so they weren't willing to do anything!!

Bad show Apple.....

:(

doesnt help you now pal i know, but might be worth applying just for a provisional license as it always helps for id purposes.

i did when i was 17 but didnt learn to drive until 21

It sucks seeing everyone else get their new toy and you don't. Try not let it wind you up to much, some days you come out on top, others you don't. That is just life.

Right. Sod it. There is a train ride in my near future.

Could get it redelivered tomorrow but it'll be the same story, since I'm working... and then I'll be sitting around all Saturday and probably not get a delivery till Tuesday.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm iPad.

I'm sorry but are you being serious? Judging by some of the figures that others have reported from various drivers and distribution centres it's looking like Apple might have shipped 100,000 units or more into the UK for launch. That's 100,000 extra packages that UPS and TNT between them have to process and deliver. When you're dealing with numbers like that it's inevitable that some will get delayed for various reasons (everything from the complex like delivery routes to remote areas not being daily to something as simple as a package getting tucked behind a desk at the delivery centre and not noticed until the van's gone and, for that matter, the really simple one of simply not having any more space on a particular route).

The delivery date Apple stated was the 28th of May. If you get yours after that you have grounds for complaint. Some got theirs today but, inevitably, that's not going to be everyone. If, by delivering a day early for those orders, you get yours on the initial delivery date then surely that's a good thing?

I'm constantly amazed at how little patience people have these days. Do try and consider the bigger picture before reaching for the toys and calculating the best angle to ensure maximum distance from the pram.

Besides, you think you've got it bad, I may or may not be getting an iPad for my birthday on Sunday from my loving wife. If I am it'll be getting delivered to her workplace. So I've got no idea if there's an iPad in my future and no way to check to see if it's being delivered, if there have been any problems in the order processing etc etc. Try THAT for suspense :D

i have spent the day at home after 14.30 when i saw that the package left the depot for delivery. i want to be able to have it today, otherwise i can't get it unless i go to the depot.

they are not leaving it to reception at my building.
i am at work all day but today.

please tnt, make me a happy man.
