I have my iPad, took an 80 mile detour home from work just to collect it in Edinburgh cause I couldn't bear the thought of waiting by the door all day tomorrow.....plus I'd miss out on a whole day of playing with my new toy. It is syncing as I type. ahhhhhh :)

Still Syncing!!!!! It's taking ages, I want to play now :(

Big up to TNT, they couldn't have been more helpful, very pleasant on phone despite probably being overwhelmed by impatient iPad owners-to-be...including me hehe!

Well TNT tried to deliver mine at about 3 but I was on a train back up from London so I Irangate local depot and they said I could call down when I got back so I picked it up at about 7pm, was funny there were a few turning up and everyone just kept saying Ipad, yep that's what I'm here for lol

Love the 3G over my wifi one, will ditch mywi now as it just drains the battery, it was so easy to setup on o2 so will see how it goes.

Just waiting for my camera kit but this was ordered separate but is done for delivery tomorrow , it's through g3 worldwide netherlands bv , anyone heard of these?

Enjoy all tonight with new ipads, and hope the rest tommorow get sorted
 
Finally got mine, picked it up at the warehouse despite being home for the "attempted" delivery. Regardless I'm relieved I don't have to play the waiting game anymore! Haven't had much chance to mess with it yet, but I'm typing this on the iPad right now. It's absolutely awesome.
 
Manchester UK order sitting via UPS at Tamworth, GB. ETA on Apple's website still tomorrow. (2030pm origin scan). I think that shall be a tomorrow delivery what do you guys think?
 
Arrived this morning via UPS. Very pleased, superb gadget/toy:D

Sitting now down the garden (bit cold)with cigar and glass of red wine celebrating. Lots of apps to check out.

May go down the mall at 8am in Bristol tomorrow to see what the crowds look like.

Apple case very good, recommend. 16gb WiFi more than enough for me.

Followed this thread from day one, best fun for years.

Are you sure it's not dust? As posted earlier, my 64GB 3G has a large speck of dust under the glass. Didn't spot until I started to use Mail, and it now stands out like a sore thumb against a white background. I thought it was a couple of adjacent dead pixels at first, but under a magnifying glass it looks like a whisker from an electric razor !

Anyway, phoned Apple and they will replace it. TNT/UPS to collect and a replacement to be shipped - I asked how long this would take given the UK store now says delivery in June and I was told my replacement would be a 'priority'. At least I will have it to play with over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Then I will get to play 'track my iPad delivery' again.
 
This has to be the coolest device I have ever used
I hope every one gets there orders pretty soon, this thread has been fun !see you all at the iPhone 4g threads lol

Went up there this evening to claim my happy little package. Syncing now. :)

The guys in the depot were saying it's the busiest day they'd ever known. As I walked in someone said "Entrance is that way, mate. Enjoy your iPad." :D
 
Couldn't resist bobbing back home between my exams to pick mine up, arrived literally as I was going out the door to college.

Fantastic, but apparently vodafone weren't ready for these going out a day early so the 3G doesn't work yet..!
 
For some reason I can't properly sync my new 3G iPad because it does not get off the register Sim screen. Do I have to wait till tomorrow? I did manage to drag some video files on though. Loving the machine so far, the screen is amazing, the Marvel Comics app looks amazing on it.

Mine arrived 10:30 am but I was at work, and went out with friends tonight. I made the mistake of moving 15 gb of video on it before playing around, took forever waiting! lol

My Wifi is working great, although I have 50mb net.

Mine is coming with UPS, my case reached the closest depot this morning, but the iPad is still on the way from Tamworth. According to the UPS tracker, Aberdeen is "a remote location and deliveries are not made daily" - Scotlands third largest city, Oil and Gas capital of Europe, the famous Granite City - is a "remote location" - WTF? :mad::mad:

According to Apple, it's 1st June for me now. Going to call UPS in the morning and see what they're playing at!

Guess I'll join the rest of you in iPad bliss just as soon as we get some of that new fangled "electricity" stuff and take out all our gas lamps!!!!

(yes, I'm a grumpy old man - except for the old part - bah humbug!)

I managed to sync mine without a sim. I ordered without one as I dont intend using it 3G, I have a MIFI. I only wanted the GPS. It complained at the beginning but I either hit return several times or tapped accept several times. Cant remember which. But it just goes past that bit and then everything syncs ok. I think you would have to do that every time you power on from cold without a sim inserted. Since then I have shoved a trimmed down Three sim to test it. Will probably just leave it in situ.

I just got sick of clicking it, and couldn't be bothered to wait. Probably fine now anyway. I'll have a play around tomorrow. I'm just glad I have it in time for my flight to Hong Kong, those 13 hours are going be greatly improved with all my videos ;)

I had a similar "problem" where iTunes got to a stage where it would not continue, before it would sync. I just ejected it and closed and reopened iTunes and plugged it in again and was able to continue past that point. Assuming you were stuck at the same point.

Yeah that's it. I had a feeling that would fix it, but again i'm too sleepy to try now. More exciting stuff to do tomorrow I guess hehe
