UK order updated today 21st to SHIPPED!!

Got mine (32gb wifi) yesterday. Rang TNT and told em not to bother trying to deliver as Ill be out all day sp picked it up from depot last night. Bloke told me that most of the ipads were delivered Thursday just because there was so many. So fair play to TNT for pulling out all the stops and getting em out.

Oh and on the iPad. What can I say apart from.......

TNT are complete rubbish. Called them this morning as my on-line shipping status doesn't even say out for delivery. They just complained Apple didn't tell them how many units they were getting and they are swamped. When i asked if i would get it today they said 'you should do, but cant promise'.
 
Mine is in Northampton hub at middnight last night. I live in Southampton. Ordered 9am on 10th May.

Currently is "in transit"

Not sure its going to get to me today. What do you reckon??? Come on TNT - you can do it!

I've never used iTunes to download films/tv shows, but I did so especially because of the iPad and I'm getting very addicted. My films and tv shows already take up 15gb. My music collection is about 40gb. And I have a few thousand family photos although only a limited number will be on the iPad.

One thing I didn't like about my iPhone was that I had to be picky with my music collection.

Sync'd my iPad 64 last night. Apps + 10 films + all music and I have 16gb left!

I think you should get it today, mines got to Edinburgh about 6am and was out for delivery before 8am, it went all the way to Kirriemuir and back to Edinburgh that same day (yesterday) because no-one was in, so I collected it at 8pm yesterday evening in Edinburgh, there was a que of people and I didn't even have to get out my car, a nice man came to the window and asked if I was here for an iPad, took my consignment number and brought it out to my car. It was worth every mile!!! :)

I missed UPS yesterday (wasn't expecting it till today) so now I'm sitting getting more excited by the minute reading all the posts from people who get theirs already!

Hurry UPS! :D
 
Oh frakit !

The Good: iPad and Case are now together...

The Bad: they both just had (well, at 0907, but just updated) another "Destination Scan" in Dundee - so that means they are at least an hour away if the driver comes directly to my door...

Oh how time flies - except when you're waiting for "Big Brown" to deliver some apple-y gadget-y goodness !

I got mine yesterday and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with it....oh wait, that's complete bollocks! It is FANTASTIC!!! it is wicked fast. Smooth. Fun. And Magic.

You know that Johnny Ives video where he is banging on about "when you don't understand how something works it sort of becomes magical". Well at the time I was thinking this was just marketing at, perhaps, its w#%nkiest. But I kept staring at it yesterday with a wry grin thinking "ok, now I get it".
 
Spoke to TNT yesterday. The shipment had gone to Newcastle instead of Tees-side depot. It's a Bank Holiday weekend. If I don't get it today, will TNT deliver on Saturday, or will I then have to wait until next Tuesday? Can't get any answer on 0800 100 600 this morning. Presumably they're swamped. :eek:

Exactly the same as me. I hope they come over the High Town instead of along the Antrim Road to get into Belfast, because I live just at the other side :p

yeah that's pretty much me also. At least I'm not the only one waiting, but as I'm in frikkin' Larne, it's normally either first or last for me. I'm gonna make a call if the status doesn't change by 10:30.
 
Well after the TNT failure yesterday I decided to drive the 60 mile round trip to the depot, and I have to say it was worth every mile, the screen is amazing, the rebuilt apps are amazing, the new apps are amazing everything about it is awesome!

Now all I have to do is wait for my accessories as they were posted. Yayy more waiting.....

That's nothing -I'm near the Tyrone/Donegal border... and we all know that people from Belfast burst into flames if they have to travel this far west, so I'm screwed :eek:
