I have no real interest in WoW and am neutral about the Starcraft series so I'm holding out hope that they aren't just stringing me along and I will get my Diablo 3 at some point relatively soon.
Not sure why people are such big fans of Diablo... don't you have WoW?
I mean, make the theme a touch more "evil" and their you go... it's just a hack'n'slash quasi-rpg; right?

The main reason I don't do WoW is that I don't play Diablo 2 online - I always go single player. WoW is online-only, and requires that I pay a subscription. That kills it for me.

Yeah, seriously. When a game has more TV appearances than the news something is wrong.

I hate online and multiple players games. So WoW is NOT for me at all.
I'm waiting soooo long for Diablo sequel so another months or even years wont hur me. Still playing Diablo and diablo 2 and have lots of fun

I actually just started playing again about a month ago - I've got a paladin up to lvl40 and a meleemancer at lvl29...maybe by the time I run through the game with these two characters Diablo 3 will be out.
Yeah, that's what I said about myself too. But here I am 2.5 years later, still playing it and happily paying my subscription each month (the fact that I rarely buy any other games anymore somewhat cancels that out).
Seriously, why all the hate for online games? Makes me wonder if you guys have really dedicated any time to WoW at all. The "real" game begins at the max level, and even then, it only took me a few months of casual playtime to hit the max level.
Personally, I'll be disappointed if StarCraft 2 turns out to be no more than an expansion of Brood War. The same units plus a few more does not excite me. Blizzard has already achieved a near-perfect RTS with perfectly balanced races -- anything they try to do to one-up the original StarCraft is only going to disappoint fans. Blizzard is already known for their constant genre innovation. Recreating StarCraft with 3D graphics is not what they're going to do, yet it's what "everyone" wants.

Rather hope for Diablo 3. Warcraft 3 is already a real-time strategy game, and Starcraft will be very similar. Wasn't Starcraft Ghost released lately?
Diablo should get an update... Just think about it: Diablo in 3D! (Heh.. D3 in 3D.) Anyone here know the Star Wars lightsaber-games like Jedi Academy? I'm hoping D3 will be in that style.

If by "released" you mean "cancelled", then yes.
Otherwise, no, it's not released and never will be. Anyway, there have already been 2 Diablos, and 3 Warcrafts, but only 1 Starcraft. So it needs updating.--Eric
