I have a brick I’ll sell ya for a premium price

weight doesn’t mean something feels cheap or premium it’s how it feels in general.
sharp edges and heavier or softer in the hand, same overall look and lighter.
i choose the newer one it’s nice without a case.

I find it amusing that so many people (including MR video hosts) were silent on the weight issue up to now but the moment the 15 appeared they were expressing delight in the real or perceived weight reduction. Afraid and reluctant to say anything negative before. So goes the Apple fandom.
I really can barely tell any weight difference holding the two phones next to each other. Not sure why people make a big deal of it. Negligible either way

Apple has shrunk the gap in quality between the regular 15 and the pro for a reason. Be prepared for an ultra iPhone next year.

I agree. The Titanium on the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) doesn‘t look as premium as the Titanium on the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

But this is based on my limited experience in the Apple Store.

I also like design (or colors) of IP14 Pro more that this years iPhones, but this is my personal opinion. This year's color choices are just not my cup of coffe.

Also i was surprised when people started posting photos of their new iphones and cases and they looks to me as different shade from what apple has on it's page (i dont know...🤷‍♀️)

anyway i have preordered 15PM in natural titanium, so I hope that it's color will look better in person than on photos

I think the OP would trade his 14 Pro for your brick. The brick is obviously much more premium feeling due to its weight.

I think you made the right color choice. Of all the colors of the Pros, Natural Titanium showed the least smudges. I think you can even use it without the case.

Overall, this year's colors are boring IMO. Last year's Deep Purple was a stunner - reminded me of a Cadbury's bar.

I think it does, I got it at home and it’s much less yellow in daylight than I thought the pictures looked.
that yellow-ish shade is what I like on natural titanium - as it was presented on apple and on pictures in store (it reminds me some old nokia phones or HTC ;)

It depends on the colour of the light, when out and about it is less yellow but when I’m at home in the evening with a lot of warm light it is more yellow than in the pictures.

I hope, until now I had colored phones. To caseless - I'm careful with my phones, but when I tried to use my phone without the case, it fell off. (and it didn't fall 1 and a half year when it was in case :) it was red oneplus so you know it immediately had visible scratches...)

Yeah, I was expecting a shade that's much yellower. In person it just looks silver to me.

*if* I were to get a 15 Pro / Pro Max, increasingly I think the silver/white one is the way.
Black looks almost the same as 14 PM and total finger print magnet on the side with titanium / don't care for the new bleu its nice but too Pacific Blue - ish IMO albeit nice I feel like it was just yesterday I personally had that one, and the Titanium I like the sides somewhat but the back I can't help but feel disappointed with IRL on the back.

The gap between Al and Ti is bigger than Al and SS.

I don't think the perception feels that way in hand though.

Stainless Steel, even being a brick, exuded some feel of premiumness but also of course at the expense of being needlessly hefty.

Titanium I think will feel to many like a more weighted or at least different feeling / more premium aluminum. With the new added benefit of being a finger print magnet unlike aluminum and something that heats up more ymmv

I think it'll be on of those feelings that will be learned. With a side by side comparison to existing Pro models, it may feel less premium. But soon, people will expect this lightweight feeling. Next year's Pro models will be also heavier due to being larger.

I used all of them today. My subjective experience is that the 15 Pro felt undeniably lighter than 14. That contrast quickly dissolved. Despite the fingerprints I felt sexier holding the Pro blue Ti model. Like physically more attractive, better adept at the whole offspring business. It really is gorgeous.

I just hope the Pro Titanium’s susceptibility to smudging is related to the unique oils in hands and not just because it’s skin. Certainly don’t want the phone chassis being a ledger for all types of skin contact. Goodness imagine that.

How has the gap shrunken when it's now using Ti?

The gap between Al and Ti is bigger than Al and SS.
I don’t deny that the gap between Al and Ti is bigger than Al and SS. A good example of Ti being better is in luxury watches.

However, I am talking about perceived value. When I walked into an Apple Store yesterday I had a hard time at first distinguishing between the regular 15 and the Pro. One another person made a similar comment.

The titanium, while a superior material, felt very much like the aluminum on the phone next to it.

One of the big surprises for me was how premium the aluminum phones feel this year. Great design on those

As I understand it, there's no change in the aluminum between this year and last year so what premium feeling are you referring to. The beveled edges?

It's not a positive for me to buy a Pro device and have it look and feel like aluminum.

The beveled edges, and the change of the glass on the back of the phone to be smooth/frosted like the Pro series.

It’s the matte back, probably. Immediately feels more pleasant to hold.

Buy a gold watch then. This is a phone.
