Pics? I must see pics.

This is not a funny April fools joke. This is a serious matter here, we're talking a 30" ACD!
Seriously.

I can't imagine throwing a perfectly good 30" ACD out the window.

Must be an April Fool's joke.

Yeah, totally agree, but what would be the point of outright lying? I'll work on pics

So where's the admission that this was just a BS story for april fool's day?

The day's over, 'fess up.

sometimes truth is stranger than fiction

i know a lady who crashed or dinger her car four or five times in six months...but of course she had been on a new round of long term pain killer, morphine continuous release, so that explains it...but i am sure the insurance company thinks she is one wicked driver ;)

No one will believe you if you do not post pictures. You have 3 options now:

1. Post pictures to prove it.

2. Admit that it was just an April Fool's joke.

3. Keep stalling and lose your credibility on the story.

OK, you all are silly wanting to see the carnage like that, but she lives in louisville, 1.5 hours away, I'll get my gf to send them to me, or I'll go myself sometime this week.

CALM DOWN.

Or just assuming I'm 'stalling'

(now I've got to go buy a 30acd, break it, and send up the pics to strangers from around the world believe me)

April fools day is over. Why are you still insisting this was true?

i like apple inc but the last model my family got was a real lemon...core duo imac and there were many problems with it but luckily we have applecare

the whole fiasco left a bad taste in my mouth for apple and for the core duo on a mac

i love my dual g4 power mac and ibook and will use them until they become too old to use and after that, i will probably get a pc...but not some cheap dell or hp, but a nice sony or if i could afford it, an alienware :)

thats no good....but if youre going to buy a PC...build one....dont buy one. And especially not an alienware

as for the topic, i dunno, but i would like to see pics anyway....prolly looks even pretty broken

a better place
Course it's bull *****! Her monitor regardless if working perfectly was within the 14 day returns period. If she rang apple they would have taken it back no problem and then proceeded to take an order for a new imac.

This story is just rubbish pure and simple. Nothing to do with trust or cynics. It's just a load of rubbish and it's not up to us to prove it isn't, its for the OP (who obviously has too much time on his hands) to prove he's telling the truth should he insist we believe him...

Mods do us all a favour and put this baby to bed!........

Get ready to believe me.... and love...

dude, you don't have to prove anything to me...being a tech 7 years, phd computer engineering student, thousands of fixes on machines including 2 forutune 500 companies as clients of my business, teaching computers, lab tech at college, etc and other things i have mentioned before...and while the move you talk about is incredibly stupid...believe me, worse has happened

years ago before i was a tech i worked at office depot and this hotheaded businessman wanted to buy a flat panel computer and when i mentioned that we didn't have any, he pointed at the flat panel "monitors" we had and told me those were full on pcs

the thing is we hooked up all our monitors, flat panel and crt, to one pc located under the display to show off the color and clarity of each model

well, this guy went so beserk he was ready to jump me when i turned the lcd monitor around and showed him that it was only a monitor, not a full on computer...he didn't get it, the monitor cord hanging out of the back of it ;), so he just turned red and stormed out of the store...man, he was scary and my martial arts training was the only thing keeping me calm

years later, my wife and i rented an apartment across the street from his art gallery and we became friends...it's funny how things work out sometimes and btw, when he realized his error, he bought a shiny 19" inch lcd monitor for his pc ;)

A couple of years ago, I would have been very hesitant to believe the original poster. However, after working a few years of retail, you come to realize how incredibly stupid many people are. So, I believe this did happen. :-x

Yeah I gotta call BS on this too. Although I'd like to believe some people are this stupid, even the most novice computer user will notice the lack of a keyboard and mouse.
