Let's make a list of anything that has changed that was not documented in the version notes.

At full brightness on my 7 series screen iPhone, bought on iDay, there is no longer the white checkered pattern on black backgrounds. It didn't bother me before, but i can say objectively that it is gone now.

Besides a louder speakerphone speaker, music playback is no longer sourly distorted, at least in my experience.

And a grossly unarticulated fix is the Safari stability. Whenever I would attempt to load Macrumors on EDGE or WiFi (and many other sites) while listening to music, at some point during the page load the music would cease, then within seconds Safari would crash. This alone was worth departing with AppTap.

On your individual contacts, it now says "Default" on each person that doesn't have an assigned ringtone. IIRC, that wasn't there before.

You can now specify a port in the incoming/outgoing email settings. No colon after the server named needed.

It appears that the password protect slight system delay is fixed -- more immediately responsive now.

Some YouTube alerts have changed. They are more specific, like "Video Unavailable: This video currently does not support iPhone."

The Weather stays on the last city you were viewing, instead of reverting to the first city.

I can rearrange the order on my Stocks list now. (Did the icon change slightly? It looks like they added months to it.)

Earpiece is considerably louder. Speaker phone/ringer are marginally louder. (in my experience)

And finally, the Safari screen orientation with multiple windows bug is fixed!! All windows display correctly when you change the orientation between switching pages. (No more not being able to activate the red x)

The iPod no longer gives me the option of deleting a video to conserve space after I've viewed it.

:D I knew something was different about my screen... I'm glad I didn't take it back just for the dots.

My favorite one so far . . . you can now set a "reply to" address when using the Yahoo! push account.

Another one (this was posted on BGReport but I haven't yet tested myself): you can now open .wav and .mp3 attachments sent via e-mail.

Oh? I"m not seeing how to do this. Can you provide more detail?

-steve

It is getting it from one of two places, I'm not sure which right now. Either it will use whatever you have set in the "Name" filed in the Yahoo! account settings as your reply to address OR it is taking it from the "reply to" setting on the Yahoo! Mail web options page. Neither worked in previous iPhone builds.

On-the-Go playlist creation. Not sure if it's new, but I never used it (noticed it) before.
