but when you put your original sim back in, not the secondary one lets say, the unlock is way way faster, you just tap on attempt activation on SAM no computer required
I haven't seen this exact question after searching.
Does SAM work to just unlock the phone without changing carriers? I am on ATT, but would like the option later on to use a different carrier when traveling.

Has anyone been successful with an iPhone locked to Mobilcom/T-Mobile Germany? I keep getting the "ActivationInfo rejected" error, no matter whether I set it to autodetect or select the original T-Mobile carrier manually. I also tried deleting the preferences and reinstalled SAM, but to no avail :(

The SAM unlocks have been blocked, unfortunately..
 
I think people really are confused and don't understand what an unlocked iPhone is and an unlock activation sam ticket means
