Thanks, that's great. Is the Mini 4 still fast? How is the speed compared to the Pro? Also, it annoys me that Apple hasn't dropped Apple pencil support for the Mini...
As others have mentioned ‘fast’ is subjective. I’m running my mini 4 on 12.1 and have absolutely no complaints - honestly, it hardly ever stutters. I guess others needs more horsepower (for what tasks I’m not sure) but the biggest draw for a mini 5 (for me) would be for a larger screen in the same chassis. I really love the size of this tablet.
The 2018 iPad is VERY nimble, especially with iOS 12. Absolutely no complaints doing anything and everything that I used to do on my 12.9 iPad Pro.
My Mini 4 is still on 10.x and it still quite snappy. I have no complaints whatsoever. Even though it doesn't support the Apple Pencil, I have a powered capacitive fine point stylus (the DotPen) and although it doesn't have pressure sensitivity nor palm rejection, using a home-made "art glove" (thin cotton $1 store glove with the thumb, index, and middle fingers cut off) it makes a pretty neat writing/sketching combination. The glove provides palm rejection.
Having said that, I'm having a difficult time recommending the Mini 4 at this point because how well the ownership experience will be is highly subjective and greatly depends upon how one will use it.
