In that it doesn't work more often than it does. Fails to refresh, cannot load any weather data at all. Garbage! :)
Could that be more of the weather station that is chosen (since you can change those) than anything else? I haven't ran into that issue with various weather stations that I normally use, but have ran into it a few times when I tried one or two other stations that aren't as good as far as staying up or sending updates or providing accurate information.

Unfortunately, that's simply not the case. When it cannot load data at all, it doesn't matter what city, what weather station. It's just "--" degrees everywhere.

And the inability to refresh is the same. The app can go days without refreshing and switching the weather station doesn't help. This is not an isolated issue. Reviews in the App Store for the most current version and the previous version say the same thing. Likewise, a thread dedicated to BeWeather over at a different forum is also filled with similar reports.

Don't get me wrong...I would love for the app to be more reliable. As far as UI goes it's my favorite by a mile. But I haven't been able to reliably use it in months.

Quite strange. I've been using it for a while without really any issues (short of one or two occasions when I tried a particular weather station at a location that wasn't reliable). I wonder what might be behind a difference in functionality on that level.

eWeather HD is still my weather app of choice.

I can't find a screenshot or video of it on AW. Could someone tell me if probability of precipitation is on the AW Face complication? Most don't show that, have to drill down to see the %. I don't have time for that.... want to see the % right away as I glance my AW. :)

BeWeather looks nice but there's a lot of terrible reviews citing wildly inaccurate temps and inconsistent refreshes. Maybe it'll be better once it's updated for iOS 10.

BeWeather gets data from weatherunderground. Go to there homepage here. Put in the area you want, either by name or zip. This will get the map to you. Then click on the weather station balloon's. You can drag the map around also. Look for a rapidfire, updates often, local weather station. Then add it to BeWeather app. I have
two close to my home, one NW that updates every 7-14 seconds. The other is W and updates every 1 minute,
its a Goldstar station, highly accurate. Has a little gold medal by the stations name.

Wow wow WOW! That's awesome, my Wunderground neighbour's PWS's on BeWeather. Excellent and THANK YOU!!! Brains AND beauty! :)

The weather app that's I've used consistently for the past several years is shutting down, so I'm shopping around for a new go to app.
  • Default app is OK, but no radar
  • Yahoo Weather is nice but radar sometimes unreliable and ads cannot be removed.
  • I use Dark Sky for notifications, but temperature predictions are regularly 10 degrees off.
  • I've used WeatherUnderground a bit. I like it but don't know if I love it.
Your take?

I've been using weather underground for a couple of years now and enjoy it. The forecasts are pretty reliable plus I like how hyper local it is. Most apps are getting their data from government weather stations usually located at airports which could be far away whereas WU lets users setup their own weather stations and send the data for hyper local weather data which which improves the forecasts

i use the stock one sometimes. i live in south florida so if i want to know if it might rain. i would check weather.com for the radar. its random here sometimes where i live. it could rain one minute. then be fine 15minutes later.

To be honest, I just love the stock Weather app. It's simple and lets me know the temperature and whether it's going to rain. That's all I need.
The play on words was ripe for the picking and you walked right by!

Partly Sunny (Dark Theme) and Weatherpro for me.
I like the aesthetics of Partly Sunny but it's using the Dark Sky engine, whose temps are quite unreliable for me. Plus, I already have Dark Sky itself.

I use a combination of the stock weather app for simple tasks such as temperature, wind, and precipitation chances. When I know it's going to rain, I use MyRadar (paid for pro version) to check how the storm is moving. It's nice because you can zoom in on your location and have a solid look at if you'll get rained on or not. Cross referencing the two apps makes me feel good about knowing what's going on.

Default app & Hi-Def Radar
The NOAA one? I've considered that one but haven't purchased yet.

Another NOAA client? Ok, good. Seeing a pattern here.
