I ordered them as soon as they were announced. I’ve had my current airpods since launch as well. Almost 2.5 years. While they still work well they don’t last as long since I use them daily. I get maybe 1.5 hours of talk and 3 hours of music. So the upgraded battery for talk time is a huge plus for me. As is wireless charging which I’ve been waiting forever for. I do a lot of gaming as well on iPad so the lower latency will be nice. Overall a decent upgrade. No brainer for me. I use these daily. I’ve gotten my money’s worth and I will with Airpods 2.

Anyone with 1st gen planning to upgrade to 2nd gen? It seems like the only 'meaningful' change is the Hey Siri, which for me personally not sure if it's worth it. Would love to hear some thoughts from others and why are you upgrading.

I bought my 1st gen Airpods almost a month ago, and don’t see any point in my upgrading to 2nd gen. There isn’t any physical difference and I only use my AirPods at work.
