In the span of 20 minutes, I'm sure I killed the app and refreshed like 100+ times.Man I did that so many times, even powered off IPhone and iPad. iPad came up first and still had loads of issues.

My theory is that they thought it would help to make it "easy" with prepreorders, but all those people tapping two buttons flooded the serversThis launch was the biggest sh$& show in years.
As others have mentioned, the store was late to go live and was riddled with issues.
Apparently Apple and Tim figured they’d sell enough phones so there was no need to ensure they IUP members who completed the process in advance, could tap two buttons and complete their order…as Apple’s system continually and consistently returned errors or simply would not process the the IUP program.
Hopefully heads are rolling in Cupertino this morning.
Agree 100%. The entitlement some are showing here is bewilderingThere is no reason that people who take a loan out for a rather small purchase should get special treatment.
Yah don't understand how IUP people are supposed to get special treatment. Everyone should have the same chance which is what happened. There is no reason that people who take a loan out for a rather small purchase should get special treatment.
Agreed and I bought mine with my Apple Card since it’s 0% interest. May as well keep more money in my pocket. I was bummed, but it’s a smartphone, not life or death. There is no reason that people who take a loan out for a rather small purchase should get special treatment.
A lot of the time the date will get pushed forward.Agreed and I bought mine with my Apple Card since it’s 0% interest. May as well keep more money in my pocket. I was bummed, but it’s a smartphone, not life or death.
As a side, my dates are the Oct 9-16th estimated delivery. You all ever see those dates move forward? This is the first time in years I have bought from Apple’s online store and of course, my dates got bumped back like many others due to online issues.
i wanted to opt out after getting my 13PM. I had to log into CitizensOne using my loan number, which came from my initial loan email. Then I had to pay the device off. There may have been some other steps between but I don’t remember entirely. How do I get off the Apple IUP now? Does anyone have experience with this?
I also needed to call them to inform them that I wanted closing the loan and paying it off. I could not just pay off without telling them. I paid it off via phone and they closed it off. Why should they get priority? Speaking as a former 5 year IUP participant.I'm not on iUP, I just buy outright whenever the given model year appeals to me. That said, I DO think that iUP users should get priority. Maybe an earlier pre-order window just or them. Or let them just place an order during the pre-pre order process with guaranteed launch day fulfillment for all iUP members. Otherwise, what is the point?
Presumably because they are the most loyal customers, with a more significant financial commitment than others. Why should they get priority? Speaking as a former 5 year IUP participant.
How is that more “loyal” than outright buying a phone every year ? Or owning a number of other Apple products?Presumably because they are the most loyal customers, with a more significant financial commitment than others.
Maybe it could be a “perk” of membership.
