And as he said, he remove the availability ...
Yes, and he took three days to do it after being made fully aware of the problem, during which time more "in stock" kits were sold. I am certain I saw at least one M3 8TB kit get sold over the weekend between when he acknowledged the problem and when it was fixed. Just one more disgruntled customer in the making, eh?

He's still not responding to customers/refunding orders, as he stated he was.

He has not been able to deliver - even after 5 months of delays and he will not even respond to my requests for refund via (phone, email, order page msg, WhatsApp.)
Just in case you missed it from earlier in the thread, there is a regulator in France where you can file a dispute against the company if they are not refunding you. This would be separate from any recourse you may have with your credit card company (chargeback) or bank.

To me, this looks like a complete scam! If I treated my customers this way, I wouldn't have gotten very far. When there are problems or delays, the first thing anyone should do is inform their customers/customers. So, they're either not doing this because they're either counting on naive buyers or they're completely ignorant! Either way, this reeks of a massive scam! It's already November 4th, and there's no information on the website regarding shipping! I recommend everyone don't wait and do everything they can to get their money back. This is unacceptable!

Wouldn't be surprised if someone were to actually do that now. Seeing how some of the unshipped orders seem to stem from WAY earlier this year I'm surprised there's no mention of a report yet.

Hi there, hi Gilles,

I wish I had read this post before ordering (and receiving) my Mac Studio M4 Max — 128 GB RAM but only 512 GB of internal storage!

One of the reasons I bought the 8 TB Mac Studio drive upgrade was because your website showed “40 units available.”
A few days later, it showed 34 units, so I thought to myself, “Great, the stock is moving — I might receive mine soon!”

Let me share what I found disappointing in how the situation was handled:
1. I first sent an email asking whether the product was in stock — no reply.
2. At that time, I don’t remember seeing any “units available” indicator on the site, which is why I asked in the first place.
3. After placing my order and receiving payment confirmation, I still haven’t received any updates or estimated delivery date.

I completely understand you must be receiving a flood of emails, that one of your employee had health issue, the whole PCB issue and also the family issues (sorry about that, whatever that is..) but people here simply want some communication and a delivery timeframe.
I’m using external drives as a temporary solution, but it’s far from ideal for my setup.

So I'm going to ask for a refund.

Best regards,
Romain P

I guess most people are a couple of months ahead of where I am in terms of reaction. Personally, I’m still waiting on my mid-September order, which by all estimates should have been shipped about a month ago.

The last update I received said to wait another 15 days — so for now, I’m still giving it that time before deciding on any next steps.

Totally agree with you though: the biggest issue here isn’t even the delay — it’s the lack of clear, proactive communication. A realistic delivery estimate or even a simple “your order is still queued, we haven’t forgotten you” message would go a long way in keeping people calm.

Like you, I appreciate the craftsmanship and quality Polysoft promises — but I do hope we get an honest, transparent update very soon.

I completed the report. I was willing to give him time in the first several weeks after ordering in June but after additional months of him ignoring my requests for an update/refund, reporting him seems more than reasonable.

True — though I also wonder how many orders have actually been shipped without people coming back here to post about it. That said, there have clearly been some serious misses. I totally understand the frustration — waiting 5 months with little or vague communication is hard to justify.

I’m still convinced Gilles is working hard behind the scenes — I remember the issues mentioned with the controller board, soldering, and needing to reprogram chips. Maybe he had to change plans along the way, and a short message explaining that would’ve eased a lot of the concern, at least in my case.

Let’s hope things improve — especially the communication side. That alone would already make a huge difference.

Yes... I'm honestly starting to look for other manufacturers and may ask a refund in a few days.

What do some people here think of this one ? there is one comment saying the Mac M4 8 tb works perfectly.

There are many people in this thread that brought it with no problem, and reported as working fine.

Yes so I have a solution. Waiting a few days for a realistic timeframe coming from @gilles_polysoft , and keep my order. Or asking for a refund and order on aliexpress..

EDIT : finally decided to ask for a refund. The aliexpresso order arrives on 22 th November and I'm really afraid my PS order won't arrive before 2026. Sure it's more expensive, but better to have something...

Thank you everyone and good luck (my last post here)

I bought the 8TB for M4 from this store and it works perfectly. Using it for over 2 months or so and no issues.
