Do you have a UPS myChoice app/account?

I only got the tracking number by opening my UPS app. Apple still shows preparing to ship.

Yeah I have one but haven't used it in ages, it might be under my business name though. Will have to login and check it out.

Edit: Hmm UPS my choice is only for residential addresses, so I guess I don't have it for my business where it's being delivered. I do see my business address on there so I know someone in my office set it up, but I don't see how I can add the Apple shipment to the UPS account.

Just got my case! Talked to my UPS guy and he said my local Apple Store got so many boxes delivered today that it took 2 trucks to deliver! He also reminded me that I had to sign for it on Friday. No exceptions. I’m so ready for my phone!

Just got my silicone case too. Gosh I forgot how big this thing is , reminds me of the 7 plus days. I’ve got a 11:15 pm departure scan in Anchorage. Hopefully they will be landing soon.

Still chillin in China. Or at least it might be. I dunno, UPS has taken a page outta USPS’ playbook of package tracking:

No idea
No idea
No idea
Out for delivery
UPS REALLY SUCK....not just for this reason I’ve had MANY ISSUES with them. And yes mines is still in China also....but FedEx dropped off my Otterbox XsMax case tho.

That depends on when your local UPS starts delivering to homes. Usually they hit business address's first and UPS Red Overnight, then they will start hitting us in residential area's.

Hmm, I can't see them hitting businesses before 9am though as that's typically when most open. I think I'm going to call Apple and see if they can manually tell me if I have a tracking number.

Edit: Nope, seems Apple doesn't have a tracking number.

Yeah, my ups app still shows it in China. I am starting to worry a little. Friday is getting closer, and still in China.

To ease some nerves, UPS and Fedex are really good at moving cargo from one side of the world to the other. This video is pretty neat at explaining how good they are.

Very cool, but at 8:39pm here in Charlotte, which means in Zhenzhou it’s 8:39am, if our phones haven’t left during their overnight hours by now, that can’t be good since they leave overnight

Got to UPS in your browser. Go to the tracking page (not the fast tracking box on the home page). There are multiple tabs under the tracking box.Choose Track by Reference.

My phone landed in South Korea about 6am CST

However, UPS didn’t load this information on the tracking site until early this afternoon.

I quite confident our packages are airborne headed this way...it’s just not updated in this system yet. I imagine in the morning we’ll all see significant movement.

For whatever reason, I'm not able to find an "Authorize Signature Release" checkbox anywhere. I added image of the delivery instructions settings that I see. Am I looking in the wrong place?
I had to go round and round to find it. Have to go to Preferences, Delivery Options, then it says Driver instructions, location for package delivery (can change this to side door/ garage etc), then under that is Authorize Shipment Release. Once you click it, it disappears.

This is such a cool an interesting thread. I hoper some of you can pause and appreciate how amazing modern logistics is and think about your phone months from now and how it took quite a journey to arrive! Thank you to all the people who make this happen and for those posting we can all share in the excitement!

Is it order number or phone number? Phone number didn’t seem to show.

I think this is how I did it last year!!

If you are unavailable to provide a signature, Apple offers three easy options for you to receive your package.

Option 1: Pre-sign with Apple once your order has shipped
There are two ways you can pre-sign for your shipment:

  1. Click the "Pre-sign for this shipment" link in your shipment notification email
  2. Select an item from your Order Listing page to see your order details and use the "Pre-sign for delivery" link.
Complete and print the Shipment Release Authorization form. Leave the form on your door for the carrier, prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of expected delivery.

You can specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, or building manager). If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.

If you'd like to pre-sign for more than one shipment, simply print, sign, and leave a Shipment Release Authorization for each package.

To ensure safe and secure delivery of packages, all deliveries are subject to the driver's discretion, and a driver may require signature, even if signature is not required by Apple. If you are unable to access the Shipment Release Authorization form, call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 and let us help!
