A sliver of good news for those of us whose tracking isn’t updating; even though it’s nearly noon in China right now, UPS will have to literally go backwards in time when they fly here to the US. We’re 12 hours behind China (our east coast). So it’s almost like UPS has an extra 9-12 hours to play with.

Edit: 12-15 hours, I mathed wrong lol

My Max and S4 are on the move and setup to pick up at local UPS CC. Case and Tempered Glass Protector will be delivered tomorrow.

This is the first time I've done the UPS CC Pick up so I sure hope it works as expected.

I think this is how I did it last year!!

If you are unavailable to provide a signature, Apple offers three easy options for you to receive your package.

Option 1: Pre-sign with Apple once your order has shipped
There are two ways you can pre-sign for your shipment:

  1. Click the "Pre-sign for this shipment" link in your shipment notification email
  2. Select an item from your Order Listing page to see your order details and use the "Pre-sign for delivery" link.
Complete and print the Shipment Release Authorization form. Leave the form on your door for the carrier, prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of expected delivery.

You can specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, or building manager). If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.

If you'd like to pre-sign for more than one shipment, simply print, sign, and leave a Shipment Release Authorization for each package.

To ensure safe and secure delivery of packages, all deliveries are subject to the driver's discretion, and a driver may require signature, even if signature is not required by Apple. If you are unable to access the Shipment Release Authorization form, call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 and let us help!

I'm going to do this but just gotta get a neighbor to go put it on the door for me. I still was unable to see the authorize via UPS lol I went where you said and even clicked front door but never saw a check box. Glad I can do it through Apple though so thanks for the heads up on this

Ups still shows China on one and Korea on another one. Should be updated sometime today since I received 2 emails from Apple that both iPhones are shipped.

My phone still shows in Korea so not sure what's going on. I remember in previous years it would normally be in the US hub or even the closest UPS facility to get ready for delivery tomorrow. A little concerned even though I won't actually be home until the 27th lol

Is it order number or phone number? Phone number didn’t seem to show.

Phone number. But hopefully you got the same email as everyone else this morning from Apple, with a tracking number.

My package is still in Korea. Harumph! Is it going to make it to KY by this afternoon so that it can make its way south for delivery tomorrow? Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of Apple Orders.

For whatever reason, I'm not able to find an "Authorize Signature Release" checkbox anywhere. I added image of the delivery instructions settings that I see. Am I looking in the wrong place?
You've probably already done this. I have and I don't see that option either.

For those worrying about the "tentative" label on the delivery date, realize this is for CYA purposes so that, if for some reason it does not deliver on that date (e.g. delivery truck has an accident), you don't flip your lid and call them saying it was promised on 9/12. The date is not guaranteed for delivery, it's just their goal.

Also, for those who show still in China, etc. be patient. Every year the tracking reporting systems are slow to update for some and they end up getting delivered on time.

That's said, there's always some who's delivery does not happen on that date for whatever reason..."stuff" happens.

UPS99 and UPS97 both are on their way to Anchorage. But my tracking info still shows that it's in Incheon, Korea. Sigh.

I just got a neighbor to put the form on my door so I should be good now
