Other UPS just changed my Delivery date to Monday

My wife’s phone is circling our house.... my phone seems to have gotten stuck in Louisville on an “import scan”.

Mine was all great and well until 8:45. Pretty bummed, and actually went to the Apple Store to just buy it or another capacity/color to hold me over (was REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT), but they were also sold out.

Yes this is UPS's fault. But I think that Apple is foolish to ship these as late as possible. Have your local distribution centers stocked up and things ready to ship from with in the US. I think it would reduce errors or allow more time for any mistakes in routing to be corrected before launch.

I totally agree, I also think Apple should make the release day Thursday, so if something does go wrong and UPS has to hold it at a customer care center or has to spend half a day trying to find it, the next day you can go pick it up. It's crazy that UPS customer care centers aren't open Saturday or Sunday, so if there is any issue you've got to wait at least until Monday. In most cases this is like an additional 40% added to the "shipping time".

Well called UPS... they directed me to apple. Apple apologized for their “logistics issues” but couldn’t tell me when it will get delivered.

This. Mine just says “delayed” now. Wtf? Im just going to go to my local Apple store and pick one up today and return the one I get later this week. I hate UPS. FedEx has always been reliable with Apple launches and UPS ruins package deliveries all the time at my office.

I ended up stopping in a SF att store with no wait yesterday on a layover home. In and out in 10 min. Will just decline packages tomorrow when it arrives.

Release day phone tracking began with a stuck in customs message on Friday in Alaska and by sat looked like it had made it to KY. This morning it’s different and shows no delivery date yet (“In transit: rescheduled delivery” tracking info unavailable) and a scan in Hong Kong as of this morning.

Mine made it to Louisville last night and missed the plane again, so now we’re looking at tomorrow? If I’m lucky and it doesn’t miss another flight or fail to get loaded on to a truck.

Still waiting for a phone with 21st as an original delivery day.

U in UPS is for unreliable among other meanings. Despite having mostly positive experience with the company, they do manage to deeply disappoint from time to time.

Well, let’s see what tomorrow brings, cause UPS doesn’t.
