I’m probably going to order through my phone plan provider since it’s 0% interest.

Is anyone seeing whether these UPS deliveries are signature required or not? As far as I can tell, there’s no option to pre-sign the form on Apple and no mention of signature on UPS.

I'm in Canada but on my Apple shipment email it states whether or not a signature is required. For mine, only the actual iPad requires a signature and not the Magic Keyboard or Pencil Pro.

I’m also in MA and mine and my husband’s is shipping via UPS. Also ordered Pencil, too. Maybe it’s where you live? The UPS hub is about 30 minutes away from us while the FEDEX hub is further.

So even though MyChoice said both packages were coming from TN, the one just moved to 'on the way' and it's coming out of KY. I'm not worried I won't get them tomorrow, it all just confuses me how they decide to do things lol.

Mine just departed Louisville. If history is any indication, it should be on a flight to Sioux Falls, SD where it will remain overnight and then picked up by an early morning UPS flight to where I am in Calgary, Canada.

In-store pickup - Just received my Apple store text notification confirming my order is ready for pickup for tomorrow morning. Also received the Apple invoice in my email about an hour ago. Looking forward to this update!

From UPS X support. "Our records show the package doesn't require a signature; therefore, the driver should follow your MyChoice delivery instructions to complete the delivery properly. -Emilio"

Received an instore pickup notification that says “your order is ready for pickup…please come during your window at X time tomorrow”… this is actually a little confusing because generally when you get a notification that order is ready for pickup you can come whenever and the window is essentially optional to ensure faster service.

Does this mean I could potentially pick up tonight?

No. If you have an early pickup window say within the first 1-2 hours of store opening then Apple is letting you know now so you don't have to worry about being on time and the order not being ready. Mine is scheduled for pickup at store opening so it makes sense that they are notifying me now vs at 10AM when I should already be there.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, all first day pickup orders will probably process this evening IIRC. It's been a while since I've done an in-store pickup on a launch day.

Louisville, KY is ups air hub. TN was the original warehouse.

Generally I’d agree of course because the product hasn’t launched but in any other scenario with Apple “ready for pickup” means you can go pick it up. Communication is a little confusing on this point. It even says something like “arriving outside this time may result in delays”, but definitely not “you can’t pick it up until this time”…

I skipped on the M2... but when I ordered the M1 iPad Pro from Best Buy, I didn't receive it on release day.
UPS has my package from Best Buy and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. :)

After having the 12.9-inch iPad Pro for two different generations, I am switching to the 11-inch model. I would stop using the 12.9 for weeks at a time because it was easier to do iOS-related items on my phone or I needed the power and functionality of my 14-inch MBP.

My wife has the 11-inch iPad Pro, and I love how it feels in either landscape or portrait mode. This makes it especially good for travel, where it can easily fit in my briefcase and is quick to use when I would rather keep my phone in my pocket. The 12.9 always felt too big and unwieldy. Given its size, taking it out on a plane to watch a movie was always annoying, especially with the limited space and tray table.

Exact same situation and order as me! Well said. I use a surface pro for work which I need. even that’s more compact than the size of the 12.9inch iPad Pro which I have and I often don’t want to pick up due to size. I want to use the 11 inch again (had previously but switched to 12.9 2-3 years ago due to the mini led display) for travel and to use around the house for reading, entertainment, and light work. Ordered it and will try it alongside with my 12.9 inch one, before I trade it in.

We all are getting the notice. Says to 'ready for pickup', which means ready for pickup 5/15.

Your shipment originated in TN. Then by truck to Louisville KY airport to the huge UPS sorting facility and air hub. Loaded on a UPS aifreighter and overnighted to an airport near you. Pallets are broken down at another hub and onto the truck to you for delivery.
