Has anyone else got a pending charge on their card different from the amount of their orders? I used Apple Card and strangely there is a large pending charge that doesn’t match up with any of my recent orders although it shows as being an Apple Store purchase. Very confused…
How off are the amounts? If it’s just a small amount like a couple bucks and cents it’s likely just due to sales tax. Orders when initially placed pull the generally applied sales tax amount based on the location but when order is finalized and money actually charged, it corrects the sales tax based on a refined lookup since there could be additional municipality taxes etc. It’s always happened with my orders and I live in Southern California. The larger purchase amount, the greater the final tax disparity when it’s finalized.

A friendly PSA and warning to anyone on the IUP. Two years ago when I mailed in my iPhone on the upgrade program, they said I did not send in the right phone. I certainly had, I hadn’t had AppleCare replaced it or anything so it wasn’t a replacement device. My advice is to take a picture of the phone ,showing the serial number in the mail return box as proof, because when I had this disagreement with the return company that Apple uses it was basically my word against theirs.

Last year I picked up my phone at the Apple store on lunch day and they took my phone, my iPhone 11 promax right then and there. This year I’m having it delivered so will have to return it via the mail and wanted to give people that heads up so it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

When I finally got the things sorted out a couple of years ago, it was escalated at Apple internally and they basically told me that my iPhone was mostly stolen at their partner facility.
