My Graphite 13 Pro Max 128GB switched to preparing to ship as well. Got my order confirmation email at 7:08 CST.

I sent an email to Tim Cook expressing my disappointment and the struggles with using an Apple Card when using the iPhone Upgrade Program.

I received a phone call from an Apple Retail Executive Relations person that was genuinely concerned about my misreable experience.

I related all of the failed attempts to use my Apple Card to no avail. Then after reading the best forum on everything...MacRumors...learned about others having trouble using their AC. I then switched to another card and the transaction went through in 10 seconds. I told him that I was extremely disappointed since I was pre-approved for the upgraded and had so much trouble. I expected to receive my new iPhone on 9/24, and by the time I used another card, delivery went to 10-6/10-11.

He offered no promises, but said that he would do everything that he could to see I was taken care of.

He emailed me his personal contact information and said that he would be back in contact to me no later than 8:00 pm on Monday.

When I sent the email I was just frustrated and had NO expectation that I would hear from anyone at Apple.

What address did you do for Tim Cook. I had problems with the apple store app opening late like it always does for me here in central Illinois, while certainly no way as bad as your experience with card and such by any means, but after preapproval 3 days ago where I put my card info to verify my account and it said it was verified that happened again after i clicked complete order. I took less than minute to renter card info it wanted (this always happens so was ready but why?) and my order went from arrives 9/24 to arrives 10/6 -10/11. why bother preapproval what does being a loyal iphone upgrade program member? I know this is a first world problem but I think they should give us regular upgraders after first year a edge in which preapproval gains us a reservation on one of the phones for 9/24 and that as long as we order before end of opening preorder day we get our phone on opening day. Just my two cents hope they make it right for you that is just not right

UPDATE: Looking around I found his email. While my experience is nothing as bad as yours and other Apple Card users it still is a bit frustrating that regular upgrade program users do not get a leg up in the preapproval process but probably is not something beneficial or easy to do by apple. His email I found was for those interested: tcook@apple.com

Y’all, I got the graphite pro max IUP but really keep getting drawn back to the Sierra. Maybe because I’ve just gotten black pretty much every year. Want something different. Too late now. I will have to see in person and hope for an in store morning stock exchange.
