Always just been the phone in my experience. The trade-in kit that they send you is basically a box only big enough to put the phone itself in and they’ve never asked me for anything else lol
It takes courage not to send the charger back ….

Yea I did notice the charge myself, but strangely I didn't get a notification alert for my Apple CardATTN: TEAM STORE PICKUP!!
Apple is charging cards! I was just charged!!
It’s happening!!
Apple charged and the Bears won! Woooo! Great Sunday!! 🥳🥳🏈💳📱🥳🥳
Mine did, too!My Apple Card was just charged for the iPad so I guess that counts as some progress!
I prefer eSIM, but it’s a pain to get it with AT&T, particularly if on is one the iPhone upgrade program (IUP).Why are so many folks negative about eSIMs? What are the downsides? Or why are physical SIM cards superior?
Nothing here, looks like free iPhone for me 😎🤪😂Mine did, too!
If you haven't checked lately, you might want to. Just got the charge on my credit card and my 9/24 ship date for my iPad Mini showed back up again. What a relief!OMG, same! It’s incredibly frustrating! What does ship null even mean?
I need a free iPhone…lolNothing here, looks like free iPhone for me 😎🤪😂
MacRumors is having a free iPhone 13 giveaway 😂I need a free iPhone…lol
It's just that e-sim is very convenient for me. Previously, it was necessary to pull out one SIM card and insert the SIM card of another operator. Now everything is much easier.I prefer old sim because I’m old school. AT&T is sending me a brand new sim out. Overnight delivery! Ayeee!
I prefer physical SIM cards as well. Verizon overnighted me one a couple of days ago in preparation for the new phone. Since I’m switching from 11 Pro, I figured I may need a new SIM to take advantage of 5G.I prefer old sim because I’m old school. AT&T is sending me a brand new sim out. Overnight delivery! Ayeee!
And that would be great if I could ever win anything.😔MacRumors is having a free giveaway 😂
I didn’t have any problems with taking the physical sim out and activating through eSIM when I upgraded from the 11PM to the 12PM. I am on the IUP also. Hopefully I won’t have any problems with the 13PM.I prefer eSIM, but it’s a pain to get it with AT&T, particularly if on is one the iPhone upgrade program (IUP).
If one has AT&T and upgrades through IUP, the new phone will come with a new physical sim, and one has to activate the new phone with the physical sim in the phone. If you take the physical sim out and attempt to activate the phone, it wouldn’t work.
To switch to an eSIM, I was advised by AT&T to go to a store. The store will charge $5 each time, and not all stores carry eSIM QR code cards.
Comparing to Verizon which will provide a eSIM QR activation code via email for free, AT&T surely knows how to make it hard and charge a fee on top of it.
Last year I simply brought in my XS Max phone, total factory reset, wiped out - removed my Sim card. Nothing else, no box, charger, cord. So, as far as Apple Trade-In’s go, do they want anything other than the phone? Like the charger, etc?
It’s been awhile since I’ve traded in anything with Apple.
I did 🤷♂️Anyone else get an email from Apple saying “Last chance to pre-order your preferred iPhone” despite already preordering?
I noticed the same thing. It won't allow me to have it held at the UPS CC center either. It's not even showing on their map, but it'll show the CVS chemist next door to it lol . I'm going to let it slide and be patient for a late Friday delivery.I tried to go to that section and I guess because the UPS CC is about 30 minutes away from me, it won’t show up in the list of available locations…only ones that are within about 15–20 minutes will. I can’t seem to find a way to change my address that it is using to create the list. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Are you on AT&T? Can you provide more details about how you did it? Did you already have an eSIM on your 11?I didn’t have any problems with taking the physical sim out and activating through eSIM when I upgraded from the 11PM to the 12PM. I am on the IUP also. Hopefully I won’t have any problems with the 13PM.
Yes, sorry about that. I am with ATT and I already had eSIM on my 11. I did have to pick up a QR code from ATT w/the 11, but when I got the 12 and before turning on, I removed the physical SIM and went through the process of setting up. If I’m remembering correctly, during set-up, it asked it I was setting up via eSIM—said yes and it was pretty painless. Are you on AT&T? Can you provide more details how you did it? Did you already have an eSIM on your 11?
I tried changing in the UPS app (signed in for MyChoice) and put in the actual address of my Customer Center to search for a new location - and it still doesn’t come up - it’s like the CC doesn’t exist anymore.I noticed the same thing. It won't allow me to have it held at the UPS CC center either. It's not even showing on their map, but it'll show the CVS chemist next door to it lol . Try rebooting your wife. Sounds like her programming is stuck.4:50pm here!!!
My wife thinks we’re all nuts in this thread. She doesn’t understand our excitement or fascination for how quickly Apple and UPS are working behind the scenes to get these phones out to us!
