Hey, all. Bit of a lurker here and made an account just to ask for some help since this thread is pretty active. I apologize in advance if this breaks any rules. Feel free to let me know and I'll remove this. I fully understand that this may sound semi-sketchy.

I managed to use the reference number trick to find the record of my preorder shipping, but unfortunately can't use My Choice to get the full tracking details. (My apartment doesn't accept packages, so all shipments are sent to a third party courier service. The address that my iPhone is being shipped to isn't eligible for My Choice because it's a commercial address. It's a bit of a pain.)

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would be comfortable sharing the first chunk of their UPS tracking number with me. There isn't any information in the first half that I believe would identify your shipment specifically. The first 6 characters after the '1Z' identifies the account of the shipper (so, wherever Apple is shipping from,) while the two after that identifies the UPS service level (which I think may be 66 for Worldwide Express.) Knowing the last four of my tracking number from the reference, along with the first 8 for identifying an iPhone shipment, there's a chance I may be able to crack my full tracking number.

This is probably a bit overkill, but I thought it would be worth a shot and may be a fun coding project for tonight. Again, if this is against any rules, my apologies. If anyone is comfortable sharing the first eight characters of their tracking number after the '1Z,' just let me know. I'm not entirely sure if MacRumors has a PM function or not, but I can make a throwaway e-mail if I need to.
