I really wish that Apple would use FedEx exclusively for their deliveries.

Yeah, but only because FedEx delivers earlier in my area than UPS. FedEx is always done by 12, 1PM at the latest. UPS normally delivers by 2, but busy times can easily push them to 4-5PM or later. My UPS driver is more conscientious about packages though.

13 pro 256 gb. Anyone know if there will be in store pick up, and if so will I be able to set it for the 25th? I'm out of the country from the 17th-24th. Worst case I'll just have UPS hold for pickup.

I just noticed that my Apple Card has already been charged for the taxes and preauthorized for the cost of the phone, less trade-in credit. I guess all I'll have to do tomorrow is click "Place Order."
Ok, why did you have to mention that? You know that now everyone will be checking their cards to see if the same has happened for them. 🤣

You're lucky then with UPS. I seem to have a bad track record with them, and it's not only Apple purchases but others as well. Like you, my FedEx drive typically delivers between 10am and 1pm. Oh, if only Apple would use FedEx this time.

You mean the same way we will all be obsessively checking FlightAware? :p

On a serious note, I think this is standard procedure for Apple Card. At the bottom of my saved pre-order page, there's a statement pertaining to the Apple Card authorization and that the credit hold is valid for 3 days from 9/17.

That should have happened during the pre-order process. I see mine posted last night, as I was setting up the order.

I’m glad you explained because I was like WTF?

I’m not ordering through the app (only as a backup), so I was hoping that wasn’t the case. Not using the Apple Card (I like rewards points/miles too much, lol) so I’m okay. Whew!

I typically use my SkyMiles American Express whenever possible, particularly to hoard miles for my travel addiction that will kick back in post-pandemic, but I recently got the Apple Card and was curious to use it. I guess it has its benefits!

CSP here. Are you sitting on a lot of flight credits too? I’ve started using mine. Birthday travel next month!

My wife and I took a trip to Universal Studios Orlando in May and I had enough miles for first class round trip tickets for both of us, with a lot more left over. I'm saving those for a trip to Spain sometime next year!

Nice! Where are you heading out?
Not far. Cali to meet up with friends for the weekend. I don’t know much other than a wine tasting tour and massages at my friend’s spa. There’s more, but I haven’t been told yet. I’m excited!

Long time since a trip like this. I’ve been hiking and getting out in nature with family, but not much else.

That’s awesome. End of this month I’ll be in California. Around Long Beach area. The following week I’ll be at San Francisco. I cannot wait.

I’m so due for a international trip, haha.
