I went to university in Omaha way back in the 80s. I was there for 8 years, and truly have wonderful memories not only of school, but of Omaha itself. I still feel that, if I could tolerate the winters, I’d be happy to live there again. Of course, I’m sure it’s changed over the decades, but I imagine it still has the same vibe.

Sure wish UPS would understand that I want to pick up my phones at a CC. Just got an email that both my phones are still being sent to my address even though customer support said they put in the request a few days ago.

Usually that status will be noted in tracking by an Exception...Once it gets on whatever (plane/truck) from KY

Any idea how far in advance the stores get the devices in-hand? I would imagine they need a little time to get their inventory organized before the madness that tomorrow will bring.

Fingers crossed the NYC area stores get theirs before 4 p.m. today, as I'm now having visions of my poor 13PM stranded on a truck sitting at the top of the helix leading into the Lincoln Tunnel when I'm supposed to be picking it up tomorrow.

I'm pretty the stores already have the phones on hand, so you should be good to go. If the truck carrying your phone was using the Lincoln Tunnel, it would be stuck at the helix regardless of weather!

Still haven't had any UPS packages deliver to my new office so i'm not sure when it will be delivered here, but i know that businesses are first on the routes before residential so hopefully in the morning! Apple finally updated my status to Shipped in the app too. Hopefully less than 24 hours and we will have our phones!!!

It does. I came here in 2010 thinking I'd stay 6 months.

You should Google for an image of license plates for cars. They changed the design a few years ago. It even made it to the late-night comedy shows, one guy said it "looks like a muscular quaker jerking off over a cupcake". He's right.

No worries. The request is there, but you might not get any confirmation until the morning of release day.

This happened to me last year, where I didn't have any confirmation in writing or my tracking info. I showed up to my UPS customer center anyway at 9am and they had it there waiting for me. The "Package Ready for Pickup" email didn't arrive until an hour later!

You can always call UPS again and confirm, but it should be all set.

Apple website has been updated and now says my phone has shipped and it will be delivered tomorrow which I already knew. My phone is still in Kentucky.

There are two UPS flights to Ontario airport UPS2964 & UPS2908 in about six hours and one flight to LAX UPS2900 in about six hours so my phone should be on one of those fligets.

Thanks for finding flights. I should be with you on one of them...Redondo Beach/Torrance area here.

For sure! I remember having this talk last year but I completely blanked if it went to Sky Harbor or Ontario Int! Either way, glad to see everything with smooth-ish.
