If you pay in full, it will be unlocked. From Apples website:

All iPhone models sold on apple.com and at the Apple Store are unlocked, which means they aren’t tied to a single carrier, and you can use a SIM from the carrier of your choosing. The exception is when you buy an iPhone with an AT&T Installment Plan. It will be locked to AT&T as the carrier and will only work on the AT&T network for the term of your Installment Plan agreement.

But it looks like E-sim is being implemented. Is that a same thing using nano micro sim?? Because my iPhone has a nano sim right now. Does iPhone 13 even have a sim slot?

I've typically used Cyrill cases because I like the fit & finish and design, and they're durable as heck. But presently Cyrill only has one choice for the 13PM which I'm not fond of. Do a search on Amazon for "Dadanism iPhone 13 Pro Max Case"

When Cyrill has the one I like for the 13PM, I'll be getting changing.

If you do a Apple store pick up. Can you still track it with UPS tracking number? Is the UPS tracking number provided when it’s shipped from China?

Nope. I did store pick up for several years in a row and was always sad I couldn't participate in the tracking number/flight tracking madness.
