I just talked to my closest UPS store, to ship an empty envelope to my house overnight was $50. A bit steep.
We'll see what happens. My phone is in Oakland at the distribution before heading for delivery to San Francisco tomorrow morning with delivery by 7p. I currently have two packages in transit also, both with delivery times between 12:15p and 4p. One is currently in Lathrop, CA. The other is on the way from Sparks, NV via tractor trailer and I don't know what distribution center it may stop at. We'll see if my phone can meet up with one or both of the other packages to move up that delivery time. All random chance, so we'll see what chaos theory gives.

As of now, my phone is still in Windsor Locks. It should be on a truck in the next couple of hours destined for the local hub. Then it will be loaded for delivery. Less than 12 hours now!

Mine finally shows it is being sent to the access point. I don't know why they couldn't put that information in the earlier scans.

I never thought about challenges for Hawaii on launch day. Apple does better than I thought if all 50 states get launch day laughter. I figured it would be for just the continental USA. Now, what we need is a member who can describe his or her frustration being an Alaska resident and having to see his or her phone come from China through Korea and Alaska to Kentucky, only to backtrack to Alaska. That's kinda funny in an incredible resource wasteful way.
Hahaha! I’ve wondered about Alaska too. As for Maui, when I placed my order all the dates were for the 27th, and that’s what Apple still says, but for the past couple days UPS has said the 24th. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed but it does look good, especially if I’m on that 8pm flight.

Thanks for the update! Checked my tracking, and my phone made the little hop from Sylmar to Van Nuys. Now it’s tucked in with hopefully an early alarm to get up and come home!

I’m in the same boat and location as you! Bummer that they won’t arrive until 7pm

I used to work with a woman from Lathrop! I was in Oakland for a training class two years ago. Love the Bay Area!

Mine just went from delivery tomorrow to “Check back tomorrow for an updated Delivery date”. It’s still on KY but it’s only 2.5 hours drive from my location. The strange thing is that I got an import scan on KY but no arrival scan. I have no idea what’s going on!
