Turn off 120hz, scroll through the macrumors website, then turn it back on and do the same, you’ll definitely see a difference, your eyes will thank you as well.
Do people not like that buttery smooth scrolling or what ? 120hz is the best thing ever happen to an iPhone. ?
I am going to do some serious drinking and decide if I want to swap or not.

I’ll leave you with this👇🎇 I didn’t believe it, thought it was marketing crap to sell more phones.

BOY OH BOY!!! it’s so true, like I’ve gone to heaven every time I interact with this 120hz, ProMotion, sexy goddess.

I have experienced what 120hz feels like from other devices, it will come down to whether I feel like I want to spend the extra for that and cameras.

Trust me so have I, but you haven’t experienced it, till you’ve experienced it on a OLED iPhone running iOS+120hz.

It’s like your woman waxing her legs for you everyday. 😃🥰😂 actually it’s even better.

I didn’t believe I’d notice a difference or, if I did, that it’d make any real impression. I also thought it was mostly hype. But, I quickly saw how much smoother my new phone appeared compared to my 12, which I already felt was very smooth. I upgraded mostly for the camera upgrades (and because I can’t seem to resist new iPhones each year lol,) but i have to say, I’m really enjoying the ProMotion. It is my first Apple product with ProMotion, and the effect is an unexpected extra for me.

That said, and I may be very wrong here, I’m under the belief that there are variances in how every persons’ eyes and brain see and interpret visual input. And, these variances lead to some people not noticing much (if any) difference and others seeing noticeable difference. Does anyone know if this is true?

Nope, you aren’t wrong, turned it off and browsed the net for a bit, Text was horrible and no screen was nowhere near as smooth.

I am not sure about interpretation variances, but it makes complete sense that different people notice resolution and hz to a varying degree. Coming from a video games perspective, you might not always notice that big of a difference when upgrading but as soon as you downgrade it is immediately noticeable.

Oh and the macro camera is amazing.

So is the battery life, even with 120hz. Currently at 94% 😳🤭🔋👑👇

To everyone: My apologies for previously posting a political post in this thread, I have been scolded and corrected. I understand that identifying the human suffering of homelessness for both the homeless and those who subsidize the homeless' lives is acceptable content, though commenting on any of the political context in which those circumstances exist is verboten. Understood and I will abide by the directive, moderator.

i’m a bit bothered that my screen dims while browsing in Safari. i’ve turned off every auto brightness and true tone settings. my brightness is almost up to max brightness and still my screen dims on its own. wondering if has anything to do with the phone’s temp while in use. either way i’m irked.

Indeed, there are a number of little bugs and crashes that I have encountered in the last 2 days. It is the clear reminder of why I don't usually install ANY MacOS, iPad OS, or iOS until, at least, the X.1 version. I also don't install incremental upgrades for at least a week or more. These softwares are just too complex to get it all correct the first time, and I tend to prefer to stay on the seatbelt side of the bleeding edge...nonetheless, the lazy river assassinated my iPhone X prompting me to upgrade before I ideally would have wanted.

I had an experience that I thought you might go hmmm…

I had my iPhone 13 sent to a UPS store down the street and they charged me a $5.00 daily storage fee (it rubbed me the wrong way) and the nuts/idiots were so excited that they were getting 3 daily storage fees that they gave me 3 iPhones 13 that were there as all of the purchasers had the same name ‘Dave’ WOW.

so I told them I only owed them 1 fee (glad I did not let it sit) & handled then 2 back saying wrong Dave. It is now Sunday and they still not scanned my package as delivered.

Thank you both for the responses, which confirm what I’m seeing and thinking here. My 12 is still operational (husband now uses it,) and just comparing with that I see it. Also, I have an 8th gen iPad. Guess my next iPad will be one with ProMotion ?

I took so photos in my garden with the macro feature today, and they’re awesome ?

I’m addicted to it lol.

It’s that good, I’m not giving apple my money for a new MacBook Pro this year, there is no reason why the new MacBook Pros can’t have ProMotion, stop saving features for future releases Timmy boy, I see what you’re doing 🙄 I want my ProMotion MacBook Pro and I want it right now. 🤦‍♂️
Who knows? Old Timmy boy just might surprise you… after all, until all is said and done, it’s just rumors. 😇🙏🤩

All good, having a laugh with ya as well, I’m in the same boat as you, had to restore my phone yesterday, on top of that, my sexy green leather case still hasn’t arrived ordered on the 16th 🤦‍♂️

You might try calling AT&T and asking that they remove the $30 upgrade fee, especially if you are a long time customer… it’s always worked for me when I’ve called. Also, I believe last year AT&T started having a ‘dispute this fee’ once your new bill is issued; you should see this when you log into your account. Hopefully they still have that option.
Thank you. Probably pretty obvious but I wouldn't think to ask. I just presumed it's "mandatory". I will definitely ask once my new phone has been activated!

Granted, I’ve been using the iPhone X since it came out, but didn’t the Plus/Max phones used to rotate to landscape mode?
