Thanks for the info. I need to go back. This was my experience at Skid row… almost 6 months ago. I need to visit nicer places around Los Angeles. It is a beautiful city but I think I was in the wrong territory 😞

Will be going to visit the Apple Store. $10 for parking not bad. @LFC2020 don’t judge this is not real America 🥲

You caught ass in that photo.

That sucks! I still think this is one of the best Apple stores around the world. It’s on the bucket list and I hope I get to visit one day. It’s in Singapore.

Ah, good questions. I have bought all my phones outright for many years now. I am not part of the IUP program. I'm always puzzled how AT&T thinks they are part of the process and entitled to an "upgrade fee" just because I bought a new phone. But I just accept it as, "yea, everyone has to get in on the action". Still feel it is unwarranted.
You might try calling AT&T and asking that they remove the $30 upgrade fee, especially if you are a long time customer… it’s always worked for me when I’ve called. Also, I believe last year AT&T started having a ‘dispute this fee’ once your new bill is issued; you should see this when you log into your account. Hopefully they still have that option.

Yup. My mom told me that yesterday cause when she opened the door the driver handed the package to her, so he must’ve known it was an iPhone. Typically they just leave it and run
No sig required for me. But driver said had to verify name. Could not leave it with out verification

It feels pretty real for these Americans that don’t have a place to call home.

So, I restored my new 13PM from an iCloud backup, and it went as expected: it took about a couple of hours to get up and running with all of my apps downloaded.

I restored my wife’s 13PM from an iMazing 2 backup, and it took about 15 minutes! IMazing is such a useful tool.
That’s the benefit of having local back up

i’m a bit bothered that my screen dims while browsing in Safari. i’ve turned off every auto brightness and true tone settings. my brightness is almost up to max brightness and still my screen dims on its own. wondering if has anything to do with the phone’s temp while in use. either way i’m irked.
I've noticed this in the books app as well.

I started noticing the heating and dimming issue on my 12 pro max if I spend a while on Macrumors. As I do every year prior to the keynote I start rustling around until the launch and my phone was getting really hot, dimming and huge battery drain. It’s on dark mode so I don’t know if that makes a difference. Since I got my 13 Pro Max I haven’t been around as much but I haven’t noticed it yet.

well i do! because i’m over these android folks i’m surrounded by. yesterday my sister was teasing me while i was waiting on my phones saying Apple has us whipped and minds morphed. then asked what’s new about the iPhones and every feature i mentioned she said android has that. she was joking to get me riled up because she gets a kick out of my reactions. we’re a fun bunch ?
I don't listen to Android trolls that mock us. They have their devices...we have ours.

Now with that said, I do own this old Samsung Note 9 (my brothers old phone), had it since Oct 2019. And yes, I do like a lot of the freedom you get on this, Side loading apps...installing what I think is an improved Pixel GCam on this thing. The expandable storage is always a plus, accessing all files like a computer. Live text..yeah this "ancient" device has it and I've been using that just for this for a few years. (iPhone IMO improved that with iOS 15)

Played with the SUPER slow mo (940fps)..kind of cool. This has a decent night photo mode for a 3 year old device. (now far better on iPhones) Large battery 4000mah (I did replace it last weekend though for $40 bucks after it started ballooning). Still a darn amazing display for 2021 - I think I actually like the curved display sides of the screen also. Little things on this that are cool and yeah..they had these features before iPhone's.

I just can't get used to this Android system. Software updates...as frustrating Apple might be with some buggy updates at times, at least we get them. Android..you may get a few per year. Get a buggy one...you may wait 1-2 months for a fix.

(This 9, is now "dead" and can't be updated to Android 11, the new UI system) Not my go to phone by any means..just kinda fun at times to play with this sometimes.

I was having issues with mine too, among other things that just made me think I’m going to return it/swap it out. So far it’s now behaving (did not back up from iCloud, no service, etc) after a few reboots and many cursing and 800-my-apple calls later..

it did not help that they “transferred” my number from my old sim/the physical to the new e-sim? On the iPhone 13 about 15 minutes after I walked out of the store…

I hope you’re able to work it out.
Mine transferred fine, just not the actual cellular service. I ended up going to AT&T and they gave me a new SIM and it worked fine.

That’s good, mine is fine now but didn’t have as smooth?. I finally did it later but for a few hours I was using my 11 pro max via Wi-Fi only. Luckily I haven’t given it to my friend yet.
