So I went to the Tower Theatre (yes, with an “re”) Apple Store in Downtown LA today. Partly to catch the iPhone 13 store pickup buzz from everyone else…but mostly to try out the cameras. The store was amazing and the camera/pictures were awesome. Sorry if it’s too much. I was just so blown away. We went there on a whim and it was just astounding to me how beautiful of a store it was. *These aren’t the full res, just “large“ size on export.

@TheYayAreaLiving - if you go to one Apple Store on your West Coast swing, this should be #1.

From 90% battery thru to 40% usage yielded me 9.5 hours of screen on time. Battery is legendary. This also includes leach apps like fakebook, WhatsApp, telegram, Twitter etc loaded. Plus 6 mail accounts.
My stupid battery is that good, I restarted my phone before and now battery percentage won’t go down, FML, only way to get it to show the correct battery percentage is by restarting the phone. 🤦‍♂️😂😤

Looks like I’m restoring my phone 🤦‍♂️

Should've kept my 12 pro max, ain’t got time for this, especially when I’m stuck at home during lockdown 🤦‍♂️😂

Wow! Thank you for sharing. That quality of detail is insane. It’s a very historic building. So much to cover and so many details inside the store. It literally looks like a museum. Also, it doesn’t look too crowded. I’m going to LA next weekend so I might stop by and check it out. Is it on the nicer side of LA or is it by Skid Row ?
Whether it’s the nicest building in the nicest area over here, once you step out you’re going to have to watch your step so you don’t trip over homeless. It sucks here lol

I love gold!!!!! It's probably because I was raised in a culture where gold is thought as lucky and wealth. 🤣 It works out for me because it's not popular in the US so I usually have no problem getting my iPhone during the pre-order.
Did your parents have gold framed sitting room furniture and such? Mine did. Very classy 😂

That sucks! I still think this is one of the best Apple stores around the world. It’s on the bucket list and I hope I get to visit one day. It’s in Singapore.

It was pretty close to skid row, which was about a block away northeast of the store. There is paid parking with security around there($10).

The store had a queue outside for phone pickups. We were able to walk in straight away and browse/tour.

That store looks gorgeous and I wouldn’t expect anything less in Singapore. On my list as well to visit.

Can’t see any difference with the 120 hz compared to the 12 Pro 60 hz. People will see what they want to see. Love the power of marketing.
I have an iPad Pro with ProMotion. Definitely smoother scrolling. I recently saw a YouTube video with comparisons of home screen scrolling side by side with between 60Hz and 120Hz. Definitely choppier scrolling on the 60Hz display. Now, we don't scroll on our home screens in slow motion, but it is noticeably smoother for a lot of people, including me. Going from a 60Hz iPad to a 120Hz iPad Pro was a positive change for me in this regard.

Thanks for the info. I need to go back. This was my experience at Skid row… almost 6 months ago. I need to visit nicer places around Los Angeles. It is a beautiful city but I think I was in the wrong territory 😞

Will be going to visit the Apple Store. $10 for parking not bad. @LFC2020 don’t judge this is not real America 🥲

I’m back, stupid thing is working correctly now ? you still running at 60hz?

Scroll through macrumors website at 60hz then do with 120hz turned on, you’ll see how much clearer the text is.
