Are you going to order the new iPhone 15?

I already told myself I'm not getting any work done this week. So, I'm ready!

I'm so thankful, grateful, and blessed my job is chill and I can decide to do that. It's a dream job. Everything in my life is on hold until we get our new iPhones on Friday. My life will resume after Friday is over. It's no sleep week for me.

Will be catching up with work next week. Most people here know September is a very busy and tough month for me. The real ones out there knows.
My job is the same. I run a non-profit community fitness center and set my own schedule and workload (which isn't remotely bad at all.) I am sitting at my desk chatting with members most of the time.

At least the Sphere is saying good morning. I park across the runway when I come in.
The Sphere is looking cute today. Some closeup shots below. 🥺

I pre-ordered for Friday 9/22 and it’s still preparing for shipping. I just found out I will be out of town for work starting 9/21 until 10/2. It says that once it ships, I can have it held at carrier for pickup but wondered if there is a time limit they will hold? Can’t remember if they send via UPS or FEDEX; it’s delivering to a Raleigh, NC address. Tried to ask on Apple chat suport but it is obviously AI and giving nonsensical responsesl.
Launch day devices are shipped via UPS. UPS will hold a package for 7 days. If you have UPS MyChoice set up, you may have some other options available. With MyChoice you can have you package delivered to a neighbor (if you have one you trust). Equally, you can pay $9.99 to have your package delivered on a different day that you specify or you can pay $14.99 to have it delivered to a different address. https://www.ups.com/us/en/track/change-delivery.page

Release day is via UPS... My advice to you would be to sign up for a UPS My choice account and you can have it held that way.. You can choose a different delivery date or choose to pick up at your local distribution center..... I had an item held for 10 days once while I was out of the country using My choice.
This year there isn't any pickup at local centers. Apple put the kibosh on that.

Unfortunately I don't have that luxury since I work on a trading desk... but on Wednesday when the embargo gets lifted I will be binge watching you tube reviews all night I'm sure.

Are we sure UPS176 is it? when I look at its schedule on FlightAware it doesn't show one for today to China and still shows that it's in Seol.

FlightAware has issues loading flightplans that are non-US to non-US if they are not normally scheduled (like this one). You won't see anything pop up until it's airborne.

My next trip to Vegas I have to get a room with a Sphere view. Last time I was there they were still building it!
Come to Las Vegas. It's fun. So much has changed in Las Vegas. I've been here for 20 years now.

Stay at the Wynn or Encore hotel. You will have the best view I think. It's hard to miss. Also, Fountain Blue Casino is going up son too. It's been in the works for over a decade or something.

I watched the Sphere built daily. The shot was taken on April 2, 2021, at 11:28. It's crazy how fast they built that thing. Well, that's a $2 billion dollar building.

What's the source on that? That sucks if so -- what does Apple care?
I used to do the Customer Center pickup as I used to work right around the corner from it. The first year or so I used it hardly anybody would be there when they opened to pick up. As time went on then there started to be a line outside of the UPS CC with other people doing the same thing. There was only ever 1-2 people working at ours so it could get hectic and that line would get deep. They also sometimes didn't have the packages ready for pickup so you'd have a gaggle of people waiting around until they found them etc

I wouldn't be surprised if UPS doesn't want the traffic to the CC and stopped the option.

If you want to have your Order delivered from UPS without any customer printed or made up Delivery instructions you can do it correctly in the UPS My Choice app.

Once you have a detailed UPS reference number, open the Order and scroll down a little to the My Choice Setting Box. The Setting you want is the "Shipment Release" link, the default is "Not Authorized" as shown by the crude red Arrow. A pop-up window will allow you to authorize a release without a Signature and lots of disclaimers.

Note: The UPS driver still has the option to not make the Delivery base on the Area of their route and their determination of current security. Please remember to chance the "Shipment Release" back to the default after this specific delivery!

These are my only options. I don’t see a shipment release

7 days? I stand corrected.
