I just took out the new case. It feels fine to me. It's smooth, but not rubbery or slippery. I've been using one on my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
I was talking to our local UPS guy last year. He was saying that the vast majority of people were having it held at the local UPS store, thinking that they would get it sooner because it would be the end of the world if they didn't get it earlier in the day versus waiting until the truck delivered it to their home/business (his words, not mine) versus due to reasons such as being unable to be at home to sign due to work and were unable to have it delivered to their place of employment. Little did they know the local UPS store doesn't get delivered to until the end of the day when the local route is done, and it's after business hours, so you can't get the item until the next day. He says many people showed up soon after opening on release day and were livid that they couldn't get it until the next day.
visited Las Vegas for the first time in years, Memorial Day weekend...We had driven from Page, Utah (48th state) in order to get our flight back to NY...it was so much fun...great restaurants and club...My husband thinks he is 20
One of my favorite experiences in Vegas was the iPhone 5S launch. I'd been up all night playing poker / blackjack and got back to my room about 4 AM. Figured it was dumb to go to bed and get up a few hours later so I walked over to the Forum shops at Caesars and got in the queue for the iPhone launch at the Apple store. It was so much fun, they were giving out water and snacks and everyone was really chill and excited for the launch. Very fun experience.
Okay so who’s working on launch day? I’m working 0700-1930 in the ER on Friday. I hope time flies by but seeing how Fridays are the worst days at work, it’ll probably drag for me. 🥺

I work from home and Friday's are typically quiet. I will be "away" for a little bit Friday morning to go do my 8AM Apple Store pickup! Maybe grab a little breakfast and coffee on my way out and make it a little morning date with myself
I used to work at the Forum Shops (2 years). Did you catch the free Atlantis show inside the Forum shops? They play it every hour or so.
Apple store at the Forum Shops is one of the oldest stores in Las Vegas. For some reason, you always feel rich inside. It also smells very nice in there. I don't know how to describe it but you get that premium experience.

I am working on Friday, but I have my phone being delivered to the office - so it is a win win. I get paid to be at work and will have the joy of setting my new phone up as soon as it arrives. Just need to make sure our UPS guy actually makes his early afternoon drop off (he usually just does an end of the day drop off / pick up instead).
UPS has both mine Oct 4 and the Oct 9 by reference to Sept 22. Not sure if the 9/22 is a place holder but crossing my fingers for an early delivery.
I am working 830-2, but my fiancé Kristin will be home to accept delivery of the 15 PM and the Series 9 watch for me.
Just had an easy experience with a UPS rep and got my full tracking#. Now I can see what wave I am in. Not sure what wave I am in. Does anyone know which one this is and which flight I would be on?
