Are you going to order the new iPhone 15?

yeah ER staff are great. Those bills are something else though, so even with decent insurance, I avoid going at all cost.
Ummm, the doctors too. Maybe they were working on a gunshot victim when you were there so not around for the lower-triaged cases?

Actually I just realized on this ancient phone that my family let me borrow until my 15 arrives that it doesn't get iOS 17. 😅 I had sold my 14, but then Verizon locked my backup phone when I switched my number to it, which they aren't supposed to do. I had a Verizon Business account recently that I've had for years, which Apple informed me was why their website wouldn't let me pre-order with my Apple Card. So then I was at T-Mobile switching my number and that's when I found out they SIM-locked my phone. So my number was already switched to T-Mobile, but my phone was locked to Verizon. So my family let me borrow an old iPhone so I could switch and then pre-order the 15. I was on the phone with Verizon support for 5 hours WHILE at T-Mobile and nobody would unlock the phone. So I'm literally never going to go back to Verizon again.

But the good news is when I went to pre-order again with my Apple Card and the T-Mobile carrier option, it went through immediately.

Verizon tech support is apparently operated by monkeys.
I have a VZ Business account and was told the same thing but Apple's site allowed me to order and use my Apple Card. I just had to pay in one lump sum but waited until this morning and called Goldman Sacs and they swithched me to the 24 month payment which I will pay off in a year. I don't know why VZ Business accounts are held back from getting a phone anywhere else than their website. I feel held back from being able to take advantage of specials offers, VZ always wants you under contract (which I refuse to be). Hoping things go smooth when I go to switch my phone over. I didn't have an issue last year but you never know with VZ.

That's an interesting workaround and I wish I'd thought of that. I'm glad that worked for you. But after putting me through the ringer with the whole process, I'm definitely not going back to Verizon.

Apparently not, or not as much as we thought lol. I’m sure if we riot or petition or overthrow MR we can get @TheYayAreaLiving 🎗️ in the spotlight.
I think we put @TheYayAreaLiving 🎗️ in the MR spotlight just by existing. Just not necessarily the spotlight she’d prefer. 🤭

I’ve been using my phone to play on this thread. Using my iPad while my phone is updating. I can actually see everyone’s avatars and signatures. Reminded me what an accomplished, intelligent, and pretty bunch you all are.

Thanks for letting someone like me, who is as tech illiterate as they come, hang with you all

I got to talk to him for a few minutes back in 2017 at WWDC. That counts for something i guess. :)
Need proof or it didn't happen.

I'm just kidding lol. Yeah, that's so cool. Consider yourself lucky. I wish he was Apple's CEO. He's just a very cool guy.
Tim Cook just refuses to step down. So many execs left under his leadership.

The "wave" is a completely obligatory designation used by members of this forum and doesn't have any real-world application. Wave 1 started movement on the 16th, whereas wave 2 started movement on the 17th.

Correct. Also important to note that Wave 1 and Wave XX folks, that have a delivery date of September 22, will both get their iPhones on September 22. It is not as if the Wave 1 or Wave 2 folks will get their phones before others (with delivery on Sep 22). No need to stress what Wave you are in if you have a delivery date of Sep 22. :)
