I have an upgrade due in December and can't make my mind up at all!
The 17 comes in that lovely sage colour and I have no complaints about the 16 beyond my chosen level of storage. A bigger battery, VRR, larger display and more storage for the same cost is a steal.
Whenever I take my camera out I always slap on a 200mm lens, so I feel the call of the 8x on the Pro. I'd shoot nigh on everything at that focal length. My concern is it doesn't fit in my Backbone and my iPhone remains my main gaming device. I wouldn't buy the Max because it doesn't fit my hands. Dark Blue in an orange case all the way.
As a student and practicioner of Product Design I am drawn to the Air like a moth to a flame. The design is the point and its gorgeous. I can live with one camera, a mono speaker and the battery would be better than the 16. It would also fit in my Backbone. The lack of video-out is actually a negative as I like to use my iPhone as a console in hotels when travelling and the screen is a little too large however.
I just can't pick at all.
