Anyone found one of these cables at a physical store? Got my new monitor and don't feel like having to wait for cable.

Just as a heads-up, not, the 2016MBP doesn't support HDMI in usb-c alt mode. All the HDMI dongles right now act as a DP1.2(over usb-c alt mode) -> HDMI converters

I have tried several adapters and NONE of them seem to work at 4k @60hz on my macbook pro (late 2016) touchbar.

My monitor has 2* HDMI 2.0 and 1 DP (1.2) and 1 mini displayport (1.2).

Still looking for an adapter that will work. Would be interested if anyone has this working at full 4k @60hz

This is a long shot but does anyone know where I can get a 1 or 1.5 foot USB-C to USB-B cable? I would like it in that specific size. Either 1 or 1.5 or both.

Other than that I would also like a 3ft USB-C to USB-C cable. Specifically that size. Would also be nice if there is a 1.5ft version of that.

Preferably both cables from the same brand to match aesthetically.

Anyone?

You might have better luck finding a 1m, and a 500mm cable. Seeing as the rest of the world operates in metric. They won't specifically be the same as 1.5' and 3' however, but close.

And now my cable was lost in the mail. Does anyone know where I can buy a USB-C in store so I can get it immediately?

Dude I literally searched for over an hour around me locally. Could not find anyone with a USB-C to DP in stock (Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Apple, Sears)

Goodluck and if you find a retailer who has it please let me know.

Very interesting discussion.
I use a 27" Dell U2713HM display with displayport today with my 11" Air. I get sound using this and speakers connected to the display using a regular phonojack. I tried HDMI but never got the resolution correct.
How to use this display with a new Macbook with USB-C?

Startech / Plugable / Cable Matters have USBC to DP1.2 cables that gives you full 4k @60Hz

Right now cables are more expensive than adapters but if it's a permanent connection I would always choose a cable over an adapter + cable combo.

Quite a few USB-C options from Monoprice, several in 1.5ft variations. Not sure exactly what type of B connector you're looking for, but Monorice has just about every variation available.

Only other single brands I can think of with a good selection is Cable Matters and Belkin, but they don't seem to offer as many short cables as Monoprice does.

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=cable+matters+usb-c&rh=i:aps,k:cable+matters+usb-c

http://www.belkin.com/us/Cables/c/usb-c-cables/

Im guessing these are US brands. I wonder if they have offerings from European brands that make these cables. Unfortunately I don't know any European brands. Maybe china has it's own brands too with a verity of offerings.

I tried this cable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01E9RTEI8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It wont run 4k @60hz on MBP 13inch late 2016

See attached screenshot

confused as to what will allow me to run a 4k DP monitor at 60hz
[doublepost=1480768458][/doublepost]----------------

I got it work by swapping which port it used and on the macbook ? then when i placed it back it to the original port it worked... must be buggy software issue

Hi, I'm new and joining this forum, also struggling to find a USB-C to DisplayPort Cable (NOT adapter). I don't want any dongle or adapters, I am just looking for cables to directly attach to my 3 Dell 24" monitors. Previously I have just used DisplayPort to Mini DP (Thunderbolt 2 on my previous Late 2014 Macbook Pro). On this new Macbook Pro 2016, I am so far struggling to find the correct cables. I live in Europe so it is even harder to find it here.

After searching a lot I have found these:

http://plugable.com/products/usbc-dp/
(Unavailable, seen this for a month now – also in EU)

https://www.startech.com/AV/usb-c-v...-over-usb-c-to-displayport-adapter~CDP2DPMM6B
This one can be found in EU-market but seems to be very expensive, especially for me who needs 3 of them.

This is China thing, but seems good quality to me, also the reviews seems to be confirmed working with regular Macbook. But the showstopper here is the long delivery time.

These are only I've come around, I guess this there will come more and more in few weeks. But like now I don't have too much trouble without the monitors as I now have 15" MBP.

I love the new MBP so far, I have seen people hating it a lot, but that's always been like this when Apple launch something NEW like changing ports/cables etc. Good luck to all of you with the new toy :)

There's this one too:

https://store.google.com/product/usb_type_c_to_displayport_cable

I've got one but haven't tried it yet. It took about four days to arrive after I ordered it.

Thanks for the link, I've seen this also, but it is not available to buy this in EU from Google. (Rules).

However, I could find the one @vhp3 recommended in EU, but this also cost me 66 EUR (70 USD). I might just have to go for one of these options if I don't find anything cheaper.
