I just paid to have a new battery put in my 5s, and to me it seems like they gave me a 800mAh replacement rather than a 1560(1600ish) one, or have they not done anything?

Am I interpreting it correctly if the battery was just replaced?

Yep, coconut battery never lies. Take it back.

Thank you. I returned today and got a full refund..eventually.

Initially, they tried to tell me the battery was not one of theirs, that I was trying to put one over them; but then when the receipt appeared they backtracked to say it was a faulty replacement and a new battery would be provided.

So I had 2 thoughts; 1) They charged me for work they did not perform or 2) They installed a faulty spare.

Since they spent 10 minutes saying that 'this battery in the phone, not our one', I decided to accept that fact and therefore said, well, it leaves us with 1) - You charged me for work you did not perform.

Got to look deeper and it turns out their 'replacement' was still not going to be an aftermarket. These cheeky buggers are installing used batteries and pretending they are aftermarket.

They handed me a battery to inspect and I kid you not, the maH was blacked out with a marker, and you could see the Apple Logo at the top of the battery had also been covered with black marker.

TLDR: Thank you Coconut Battery - You got me a refund and uncovered a dodgy dealer.

That is seriously messed up. This was at an Apple Store? That's flat out cheating!

You need a new battery though. The phone wouldn't make it through a day with that battery.
