Valve Software today posted a teaser on its official blog for Team Fortress 2 hinting at a release for the game on Mac OS X tomorrow. Team Fortress 2 would mark the third major Valve series to hit Mac OS X, following Portal and Half-Life 2 (plus two Half-Life 2 sequels) released since Valve announced that it would be making its game library as well as its Steam game distribution platform offering a host of third-party games available on Mac OS X beginning last month.
Big things are happening RIGHT NOW at Valve. Things involving cultivated tree-fruit. BIG things. Things that rhyme with "grapple." Things that rhyme with "Speem Gortress zmavailable on the Babac."

Not today. But tomorrow. BIG THINGS. Stay tuned...
The news comes just after Valve announced that it will be delaying the release of its much-anticipated Portal 2 until 2011, citing the fact that "making games is hard". Portal 2 had been expected to see a release before the end of this year.

i'm not hugely excited for TF2, but it will be fun. and i expected nothing less from Valve and the delay of Portal 2

Now if these games were more Snow Leo aware, that would be cool.

In other words, Grand Central usage for more muscle to these games and better performance. As well as OpenCL usage instead of 100% OpenGL.

Yea leave it to Valve to delay a game, although its hard to knock them for when they finally release a game its nothing short of spectacular.

Mac and PC at the same time?

Maybe the delay is because they are now releasing both mac and pc versions at the same time....

So many delays! But I'm willing to wait if it means Portal 2 lives up to the name. Also, excellent quote "making games is hard."

The cake needs a few more months in the oven...

That could mean anything? ;-)
;):apple:

So Valve invented a time machine to send iPods back to the 1950's, awesome!

But yea you guys who haven't played TF2 are in for a treat. It probably is the best multiplayer game ever. I bought it in 2007 (was on the public beta) and haven't stopped. I used to spend an hour a day playing random other games but now it's all TF2 (and sometimes L4D). The art, humour, gameplay... it's all perfect. There's nothing else like it.

now if only apple was to release 10.6.4 with its improved graphics drivers and OpenGL performance the world would be a happy place. That and L4D2 ;) but beggars can't be choosers.

I've heard a lot about 10.6.4 and the supposed OpenGL performance improvements, but is there actually any proof on this or is it just everyone's hope?
