I’m calling Verizon now, Right after purchasing I saw the Apple offer and called and was told by a rep the Verizon had the same offer threw them and he is supposed to called me in a few days to help me with that. But I don’t have much patience. Lol. Would not make since to not give it to everyone when we are all paying the same price.

Well I was able to get $100 bill credit. Lol. I give up.

I saw ATT had the same dumb rule too but instead it was 30 months $5 each month. Does T-Mobile actually give you a deal with signing up? Because keeping the service on it going for months is a hell of a lot more money than $200 e gift card.
T-Mobile is a lot better. You don’t need to keep the line active at all after receiving the rebate…

I assume their thought is that if you’re getting the cellular model you’ll want service on it so these are bonuses for something most people are already going to buy with their cellular iPad.

Hi, I just activated my iPad on Tmobile and have not received an email or anything about how to redeem the promo. How did you do it? I found the page where you are supposed to fill out a form but I need some kind of promo code to proceed.

Edit: never mind I found it in an old email: 2021RETAILIPAD

Verizon emailed me a deal for $150 off any new iPad a couple days after I pre-ordered the 12.9 using code tablet150. Anyone know if I call them will they allow me to use it? I did get the $100 off already through monthly credits. May not be worth the hastle for $50.

Is that correct? My email from Apple had a different code. It had: 2021APPLERETAILIPAD

My iPP was purchased directly from Apple.

I cant activate on iPad Pro 2021
i go to cellular, then activate and it wants a telephone number. looks like only add a line to an existing plan is available

anyone…How did you activate your NEW data plan for t-mobile? I called t-mobile and they wanted to send a sim. HOW does one get past the “enter phone number” on the activate t-mobile on the iPad, for electronic activation?

honestly I cant remember exactly what code I used since I did it a month ago, but when I go to the Tmobile promo website to check on it, it is showing there as entered and has the promo number and a tracking ID with a status of "received". Does your status show the same, or something else?

I think I activated it through my existing phone line account and added it that way, then entered the promo on the website and it worked fine. I think what they mean by new line is new iPad line. You should be able to add the iPad plan to your current Tmobile phone line. One hiccup I did have was I did not see the compatible plan in the iPad menu when setting up the plan (either I wasnt looking closely enough or what), but I then called Tmobile and told them I needed a 10GB or higher plan for the promo on my iPad and they did it for me.

I don’t have a t-mobile phone. I saw nowhere that said the promo was only for existing phone plans. The menu doesn’t exist is why you didn’t see it.

Mine is also in a “received” state and has been since 6/5. It was kicked back a few times before this and I had to resubmit as they had issues opening my screenshots for the required documentation somehow.

ok thanks for confirming! Glad we seem to be at the right spot. (maybe we should start a Tmobile promo thread so everyone can track where theirs are at, haha).

Ive got an important update for you guys. My offer to do the rebate never showed up at my account. I searched Verizon’s website and found it linked me to

www.yourdigitalrebatecenter.com

There, I entered the promo code that was provided above UNLOCKEDIPAD200

That enabled entry of data for submission for getting the rebate. I needed to provide my name, email address and the phone number attached to the ipad. I had to look up the number that they attached to it in mydevices on verizon.

Once finished with entering the data, I had to read and agree to the terms and conditions and submitted my request for rebate.
Thank you this was the only way I could get this to work.
has anyone got the rebate yet

Here
Mine now says my tracking number isn’t valid, so I can’t see a status. I’ve received no rejection or approval.

FYI…Verizon was going to deny my rebate because I went into the Verizon store to activate the iPad that I purchased at the apple store. I fought with customer service, who offer to ‘split the difference’ and give me $100. Not acceptable. I escalated to a member of the leadership team and after much discussion, he applied a $200 credit to my account.
I referenced all the complaints and difficulty expressed on this forum just getting the rebate code and submitting for the rebate and was told that had I activated the IPad on Verizon.com, the rebate offer would have shown up automatically. I have my doubts. Even though I got my way and got my $200…My heart rate is off the charts because I am so frustrated with the whole process.

Honestly, this is exactly why I didn't bother in the first place.

Considering activation fees and $20-30/month service cost (I have an existing iPad line already so a new line wouldn't be eligible for the 50% discount), the extra $100 or so saved isn't worth all the stress. Working 1 hour of overtime to cover the $100 is much, much less stressful than having to deal with carriers' customer service.

I literally had the same issue. But I was told to call back on 7/12 because they had to wait the 8 weeks. No one would budge on that. This is sad we have to fight for them to do the right thing.

I got it, but could only use it at Verizon. Not a big deal, just use it to pay your Wireless bill until it’s used up.
