Which iPhone 15 variant will you be pre-ordering?

Long time lurker here. Only commented few times - My status via the website says September 29. Upgrading from the 13 mini to the 15 PM because it can no longer keep up with real world demands in a post-covid world. It will be my first pro phone.
Once you go to the Pro Max, you can’t go smaller. You’re going to love it, and it’s lighter than the 14PM.

I normally buy the phone outright through Apple but I’m thinking going the upgrade route with the trade in for $13/mo for 36 mos for the 512gb 15pro. Just wondering what happens if I want a new phone in 24 mos? Can I just pay the balance off or is there some sort of penalty? Just seeing what the drawbacks are if I go this route.

Most people are saying it’s better to go Apple.com route to upgrade line through Verizon but it seems lower to upgrade through Verizon. Am I missing somewhere here?

Oh I know. Battery life is what was more important to me this time around. 13 Mini was great for what it was for - a small form factor iPhone. The battery in the mini was probably perfect for if you're spending your time at home as we all have during the pandemic. But in a post-COVID world, that probably hurt the mini the most. Hence why I went big with the Pro Max. Honestly, 13 Mini is probably my favorite out of all the iPhones I've owned in the last 10 years. But like I said, 13 Mini can't keep up with the demands of the real world. So, it had to go. The 120mm Telephoto camera on the 15 PM is just the icing. By upgrading this year, 15pm ticks off a lot of things that was hampering the 13 mini. That includes the transition to USB-C. It was either do it now or do the transition down the road.

I actually know a couple of people who downgraded the following year and say the Plus/Max was way too big for portability.

Personally, I've never used one, but I'm 99% sure I would hate it.

Depends on how you use it. I consume most of my content on mobile, so the max is a big plus. Really looking forward to the upgrade to 120hz for that reason (trading in a 12PM). I also use it a lot for fishing maps, weather/radar scope, and onX Hunting maps and it really shines there as well.

If it was strictly a tool or a work phone for calls, texts, emails, I would probably go with the Pro.

The smallest iPhone I used after the 6+ was the X for 18 months, and it was the most miserable 18 months due to the size of the X. Everything else was perfect except for the size. I’ll never go back to a smaller iPhone. That’s why I’m glad Apple sell a variety of iPhones to suit everyone.

My plan right now after once a family issue is over and my three year (36 months) lock in contract is over, I might go for SE4 or SE5 whenever that one comes out. I also bundled an Apple Watch Series 9 with my 15PM for $6 a month for the same amount of time as the PM so i'm looking forward to see if it can help me improve my overall health lol.

Yep, XR and 13 Mini suited my needs at the time but times are changing so I had to get on with the times.

I think it primarily depends on whether your plan gets you additional promotions - I was able to get $830 of value for a trade-in over 36 months through Verizon. If your plan doesn’t qualify, it depends on who has the better trade in value / whether you want it as a credit from Apple at once, etc.

No tracking info yet.
Same here. It just sits at "September 29" while my Apple Watch S9 reads "On the way now, estimated September 22" courtesy of UPS. I'm sure since it'll be midnight my time soon (EST) the info about my 15 PM will be updated shortly.

Fed Ex shipping notification received this evening - iPhone 15 PM 512 Titanium. Just waiting for AW Ultra to ship now.

I planned to order my devices directly from Apple but their site was unstable when the preorders started. Verizon’s site worked perfectly and I ordered 20 mins after preorders started and got 9/22 shipment.
