Which iPhone 15 variant will you be pre-ordering?

I left Sprint 12 years ago because it just didn’t work. Verizon has been awesome for the most part. I’ve never needed to contact them hardly ever. I guess I got lucky getting a competent person every time. And the broken English is what gave it away. I took screenshots of the entire interaction. They merely thought I was complaining about my delivery date and it wasn’t about that.

The line that gave it away was when they just pulled up my account and said. “We will look at order information please”

Huh? Do you need more order number? Do you have my order number? Are you looking at my order info and asking me to please wait. It just didn’t make sense. So I eventually asked do you need my order number and just as I hit send they were already replying with info that my order won’t ship until the 27th. I know this but why does your trade in system think I already have it. They didn’t grasp that. I thanked them for there help and ended the chat defeated once again
Honestly, Sprint was always a junk provider even before the merger with T-Mobile. Junk provider these days? Spectrum.

They just wanted to look at your order info and just needed your patience. I kinda can understand what they're trying to say lol. Keep trying until you get a better rep. That's what I did.

Sprint was always trash but they were my first carrier I had for a few years when I was in my 20s then I couldn’t take their crap service and switched to Verizon.
So pampered with Verizon for so many years it’s sad they’ve gone downhill. I know they’re trying to turn themselves around but laying off American CS reps may save money short term but long term will just make unhappy customers.

They laid Americans CS Reps off 20 years ago because politics allowed it to happen. So I don't believe you can turn it around when foreign CS was always crappy. Apple even depend on outsourced CS reps; they just do it a little better. A lot of corporations do foreign CS these days.

I have never encountered outsourced reps when I called Apple on the phone. Or do they speak American English so well these days? The most recent call was about my 14PM not allowing me to get past the lock screen. The rep sound Southern to me.

The one time I called Apple I got someone from Georgia. She was awesome! I usually have good experiences with reps. Not so much Verizon lately. But I don’t call either often so I have no idea where they’re from. They could be from mars I just want comprehension of my issues

Picked up a 15 Pro from the Apple Store and traded in my 13. When doing a dummy order in the Apple Store App, it says that I have to pay about $17 for 2-months and then it drops down to $4.69 a month. At the store, the rep said that it was going to be the $17 a month with Verizon financing. Do I need to reach out to Verizon after those first two payments of $17 happen or will the bill just know to drop to the lower rate?
Verizon is charging me $10/month and gave me $850 for a Google Pixel 6S Plus.

Some of them can fake accents. Most of them NEVER use their real names. They use English names to fool unsuspecting customers.

People can RARELY get American CS reps from Apple but odds of that happening are really tiny.

The last time I had to call Apple was about a year ago (about an AppleTV issue). Got a guy who happened to also be a Wisconsin native, so we spent the down time while he was waiting for his system bitching about the Packers.

Just sharing my experience here as I've gone back and forth with Verizon a million times over the past month. I got an Iphone 15 Pro but am planning on exchanging it for a 15 Pro Max (I should have just got that phone in the first place, but thats a different story). The exchange process is time-consuming as even though there is a prompt online through your account, you need to either reorder at the store you purchased from (which doesn't have the phone in stock anyway), or speak to someone at Verizon.

Be prepared to spend at least an hour with any form of their customer service. It all works extremely slow. The majority of their care is outsourced. The chat is a bit slower than calling them directly. If you already have an order, customer care is the best way to reach them to modify if necessary. Unless you are placing a new order, the sales department is not going to be able to help much and will redirect you to customer care.

I ordered a white titanium 512gb which is targeted to ship by the 27th. Out of all colors, the black and blue models tend to ship faster than the white and natural titanium. The white and natural titanium are shipping out in November for the 256gb models. The stores around me (LA) are completely sold out in at least a 50 mile radius for the Pro Max, and any that may show in stock are usually reserved by someone so you couldn't pick them up anyway. The 15 Pro are much, much easier to get now.

Blue 15 PM here. Mine took a MONTH to get here. I'm grateful because if it got here too soon, I would have dealt with the overheating issue but luckily my PM shipped AFTER the fix was patched in. So I didn't need to worry about the whole issue with overheating.

I kinda see the frustration here. Apple does have inventory at local stores by me but the movement from Verizon is slow. I thought this would be the case going but the savings outweighs the wait....

The best way to do it, as a former Apple Store Employee, is to use the carrier promo in store or online. If you do the promo through Verizon, the entire trade in value of 800 gets split up over bill credits. With Apple, you get $450 instant and only $350 is split over bill credits. This means you still get Apple's trade in value and the trade is done through apple (in store or mail in), and you also get the bill credits coming. If you leave Verizon early, you still got Apple's trade in at the least.
How does it work if you try to then exchange the phone for a different model or color within the 14 day period at the Apple Store ? Do you lose the bill credits and just get the instant credit ? Or can you exchange it for new device and still get the bill credits ?

No email about a delay until the 27th? I got mine around 12 noon. Had the same date as you. Hopefully yours moves soon
Next day got an email that one of the two had "shipped" although that was a lie, it was just "label created" for a day, then they sent an email saying the other was delayed a week, then the next day it said that one had shipped too. Of course that was Friday so nothing happened until Monday. One of them still says ships on Oct. 20 on Verizon's order page, even though it's already shipped. So a lot of weirdness, but supposedly both will be delivered tomorrow.

Ordered iPhone 15 PM 512gb Blue on Oct 4 (shipped on Oct 5 with delivery on Oct 6) and iPhone 15 P 256gb Natural on Oct 6 (shipping today with delivery of Oct 19). Was thinking of canceling 15 P since it was taking a while but glad I didn't cancel.

I guess the delivery depends on what color and size you ordered.

Had a dental emergency. Stuck at home today browsing stock. Still nothing. Once I see a white in stock I may do apple courier service. Verizon is such a joke this year with their estimates. If I was Verizon I would be on Apples behind to get the stock they need. Because the excitement of a new phone is all but gone

For trade-in, am I right that Verizon doesn't care if it's locked to another carrier (financing arrangement not paid off for example) but they do care about Find my iPhone disabled? Anything else I need to check on phone before sending it in with IMEI status, etc

When I was trading in a T-Mobile iPhone I had to make sure it was unlocked and paid off before they could complete the trade in. That was last year when we switched back to Verizon after our terrible decision to try T-Mobile for a few months.

Exactly why I won’t leave as much as I give Verizon hell. Friends with T-Mobile always have worse speeds and coverage in our mountainous terrain. The only comparable service here is AT&T but they have capacity issues around here and pricing is the same roughly.

Did you like anything about T-Mobile over Verizon?

I liked nothing about T-Mobile. At first they made it sound all fantastic and so fast yet so cheap. So the first month or so we experienced that. But then my husband who is a fuel truck driver kept getting dropped calls constantly and our phones would be in SOS mode all the time because the towers were down in our area. It got to the point that we just paid for our phones outright and closed the account and went back to Verizon. You get what you pay for. I’d rather pay a little extra money to know my service will work and be reliable. Oh not to mention the lady that hooked us up on T-Mobile ended up being an accessory to a MURDER in town. 😳 That’s why I traded the T-Mobile 14 Pro Max in (and I was tired of purple already) because she touched my phone, and she used those hands to dismember a body too!! Eeeeeeeeek!

So I am curious to see - for folks still waiting for your Pro Max from Verizon, what was your order date (not shipping date) and what color/storage size? Would love to see order dates for people whose phones recently shipped as well.

I’m waiting on a black PM, 256GB, order placed October 2nd.
