This machine is considerably slower than my iBook G3/500 and it played back these Xvid encoded titles without any glitches or performance issues.

Might have missed it, but how were the xvid files encoded? I'm quite curious with how far you could theoretically push quality wise a 350mhz g3.

With the exception of the fansub video, the Xvid files were encoded by others: I downloaded them an eternity ago via BitTorrent. I'll inspect them for information and get back to you.
