The Fierce Keyboard Fight against Koyot, don't introduce any matter not previously discussed.

  1. The tcMP is not the Most Powerful Possible Mac
  2. most people don't care not the most powerful machine as most people ever dream on dual CPU
  3. or 8 drive Raid 6 internal storage.
  4. Not expandable? plug a DAS o build a Thunderbolt network on a Nas, and you get the best configuraiton possible, even my next MP wont have a 1TB ssd, Iĺl install as much 512GB all my storage will reside on a DAS on ssd next year (I've an small office team).
  5. Cant "update" the GPUs? much better to ugrade th entire machine, plugging a more poweful GPU on a slower System only gives you an old system with not optimal driven GPUs, an all new System gives you an optimal system, much better sell or transfer the Old Workstation than to "update", and even maybe cheaper considering fully accounted TCO.
  6. Not a Success? when people think on a poweful system dont think on a cage anymore, think on a Cylinder ...

If the article is accurate, that would imply that the Mac Pro announcement probably won't be until next year and deliveries could be as late as midyear :(

Edit: If at all...

At all option is the best. What have I told you? No mac pro for 10 years. -sigh-.

You guys can thank me for assuring that there is nMP coming shortly.
Because, I just bought a Mac Pro 2013 to process dailies for the movie I am doing.
Seriously..there is nothing wrong with nMP 2013...I get that it's old...but it's still useful for certain apps.

This was a great attack ...:) long time to happen in here.
Peace.
Please calm down, we 're going to lose this thread too.

:) OS6-OSX we urgently need a graphic here...

Of course not. It's still a very powerful machine. But I can't fault people for not wanting to pay top dollar for old tech at this point.

Not surprising they wouldn't mention the Mac Pro in the rumors, it's still not interesting enough for the press to particularly care about unless they've got an Apple-bashing tack to take. With that said, refreshing virtually the entire lineup at once would be pretty surprising... even more surprising then them keeping around *and* upgrading the Airs.

Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if apple announced newer version secretly...like small incremental thing. (that's if they are planning that).

At this point I dunno if Apple will bundle the Mac announcements with the iPhone stuff at this event (although it's nice not to be waiting weeks in anticipation about it, just a week!) but I'd bet good money we're unlikely to see another big event since the recent trend of paring them down. If we get Mac updates in October I'd say it's likely "invite the press over and drop stuff on the website" updates rather than another event.

Probably from the "press event" (if it will happen).

Read agan, this article as no new information, just a compilation on what many analyst have predict yet (specially KGI), and not to name a MP update isn't intrisically a denial, I dont care on this article.

most interesting is this fro 9to5mac.com 9to5mac.com/2016/08/29/lg-…

An USB-C (dp1.3) display from LG, Why didn't LG show another Thunderbolt3 Display? Jumped to USB-C (dp1.3) ? what does it means for future Apple co-developments ?

When Apple unveils the next Retina Display some big mouth will shut up: as John Paczkowski, and few guys at 9to5mac that dont understand what is Thunderbolt 3 MST SST, and which are the source of that (yet unfeasible-impractical) integrated eGPU (they believed the only way to drive a 5K display on a single cable is thru an eGPU...)

remenber I predict a 4K TB3 Retina Display (21") and a USB-C/DisplayPort1.3 5K Display either Apple Branded or most likely LG Branded.

Seems that way to me, except I hadn't heard the bit about the Air before. But I wouldn't claim I'm 100% on top of this stuff either, so I might have just missed something.

Reading between all the lines, it really seems we're set for a 100% iOS/iPhone/watch event on the 7th, then in, I'm guessing, early Oct. we'll get a smaller deal that gives us MacOS and MBP more or less right away, then Air/iMacs will come soon after, Mac Pro....well maybe we get a "early next year" mention, but that's it. Oh well, not like I'm gonna buy the trash can anyway.

It was LG that posted blog post about 8K retina iMac.
