Purchase info:

If bought in the Apple store, then you should have a place for the sales associate's home address and cell phone number. That way if we have a question about a band we purchased, we can call them years later. That way we do not have to guess the color of the band.

If bought online, the person that packed your band. Also, the delivery method and the name and address of the person that delivered it. If you were not home when it was delivered. Where was it left when it was delivered? What was the weather the day it was delivered?

If bought from a 3rd party, must include their address, spouse name, kid's name. Maybe also what school they attended.

If a gift, the person that gave it to you and the occasion.

The discussion on the charts over in one of the bigger threads got me thinking, a filter system would be beneficial.

the “Chart” tab (showing all bands released, not necessarily a chart exactly)could have filters & sort features

Sort by...
- Color
- Release date
- Rarity (Oh yeah- also assign a rarity rating to each band, maybe like Very Common, Common, Uncommon, Very Uncommon, Rare & Very Rare)
- Popularity (Assign popularity ratings similar to rarity, both can be gauged by recent eBay listings & sales which I can help research)

Filters:
- Remove specific types of bands (Show only Woven Nylons by deselecting the other types, show only sport bands and Nike sport bands, etc.
- Remove specific obtainability, such as employee only bands, Rio bands, unreleased bands(?)(Will be difficult to track down all known unreleased colors and make icons for them)

I just think having an advanced filter & sort feature would be pretty cool. Also, of course, a search bar.

Also, if possible, “Popular” values can be assigned based on how frequently the bands are looked at by the app’s users.

Hey everyone:

If anyone ever wants a copy of the band serial/model # spreadsheet, please don’t ask if you can have a copy.

Always assume that the answer is YES with me and just send me your email.

I made this for all of us to use and have. It’s my pleasure to share it with everyone.

Thanks!

Hey everyone,

it took a lot longer than expected (partly because my son was born in the meantime) but today I'm happy to publish the first alpha version of my app concept.

Please not that this is a very early version with many constraints:
- only sport bands and nike sport bands are available atm.
- discontinuation dates for nike bands are still missing.
- no nice marketing images due to apple copyrights.
- iCloud sync across devices should already work but personal data (custom collections etc.) might be lost again in future alpha/beta versions.

You can download it via the Apple Testflight app and the following link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/ffpWMHfv

Feel free to share your feedback here in the thread, via email or PM. I will not be able to answer to every feedback comment but I will definitely read it!

Thanks to everybody who contributed so far!

Just now noticed this, how could i be so blind!?!

This is an amazing app, love how i can make several different collections to suit my needs, everything is laid out nicely. I look forward to watching this app grow and become even more awesome than it is already :)

Keep up the good work!

It's been a long time since this thread was active. Any updates on this app idea? I see the invitations no longer work, wondering how it's all going as very interested in something like this.

As far as I know, SeppelHut stopped the development a while ago, but "Bandbreite", an app for your ever-growing watch band collection, is available on the App Store.

Looks like an awesome app, disappointing it only focuses on Apple branded bands from initial look through. A lot of bands I have are from third parties, some replicate Apple bands but not all.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who can afford Apple bands in bulk but in Australia they are $80 just for the basic ones and go up in price from there so while I have bought a few over the years it's not really affordable to do so.
