So. the latest iOS 17.2 beta allows to customize the default notification vibrations, is this possible in watchOS beta too?
Please tell me it is, because it was the only reason I was jailbreaking my phone and I have been dreaming about having it on stock watchOS since then. The default pattern is too annoying and unnecessarily strong for my taste.

No, nothing new I can see for customization of haptics.

You can still do default/prominent of course.

Yeah I figured the dev beta is available to anyone and installed it, such a bummer though. I really hope it does make its way to watchOS too.

So i was tempted trying dev watch os beta 4 for the only reason - bug fix of dim screen under the poor light condition despite having the brightness crank up to the max lvl.
Must admit it finally worked out for me, not the brightest like manual set up with iphone cc but at least readable.
Disadvantages i noticed - sleep tracking stopped working but i consider put it under further investigations as reseting sleep schedule, setting the alarms once more time eg. Keep you updated
The most annoying is battery life - like minimum 40% worse than the official os, it dropped from 3 days to barely 2.
Hope the battery is still learning the new schedule and usability pattern.
Every other functions work and even with external apps like streamlets, morpho or watchtube i haven't noticed any bugs, heart rate and ekg both with blood oxygen also work properly.
Same with apple pay, loyality cards and so on.
The main issue seem to be battery life for the moment.
I'm curious of your input, any other observation?
My test victim is ultra 2 xD

I installed watchOS 10 since beta 3, and until now a real annoying bug is occurring… every time I swipe between watchfaces the time shows up as 10:09 and then updates quick to the correct time.

But it is not the worst… with faces such as infograph or Wayfinder EVERYTIME I raise my wrist to see what time is it, it shows 10:09 and then updates. But only with the digital up middle complication which has the seconds… anyone having this issue?

Sleep tracking is not working properly as well…
RC? Looks like they need more time to work.

Working fine for me here, the faces are showing present time, and sleep also worked as it should last night.

My battery is utterly zonked by the RC. No problems during all the betas, but since installing the RC this week I'm losing about 15% an hour, and more if I am doing a workout or streaming audio. Have tried the hard reset and unpairing/pairing... hoping it will settle down. Charging is also much slower than before, presumably because of the drain at the same time as charge. AW Series 8 with Cellular.

Opposite for me. Well, not entirely the opposite, but going from B4 to RC has given me a noticeable improvement in battery life. I know that doesn’t help, sorry.

Update, so battery seems to settle once again and it's significantly better than this horrendous drain yesterday. For the sleep tracking it works again, i think it needs like 24hrs to adjust - i updated the beta after midnight so i guess watch just missed a date.
Bug fix for dim screen under poor light conditions is finally here so i'm kinda delighted being able to use my watch in dark room finally.
In setting - clock we can also enable old way to change clock face - by swyping. It's disabled by default but now we can toggle to old way, it's good we have a choice to our preferences. Enabling this feature let us changing clockfaces both ways - swyping or press and hold.

Yeah you can never really judge battery drain in the first 24 hrs after an update. I’d probably just sit it out for a bit before going through all the reset repair malarkey.

Jumping onto this late. Just went from 10.1.2(? Latest release) to RC on my Ultra 1.

So far loving having the swipe to change faces back and the battery has been really good. Lost 41% in 25 hours including about 30 mins of Apple Fitness + and about 90 mins of other workouts.

Going to update my SS7 later, we’ll see how that goes.

Happy to report things back to normal today - guess it was just "new version" stuff but I hadn't experienced that on any of the other betas.

Same issue for me - i don't get why. annoying as hell.
Battery life, swipe faces, screen brightness is fine now.
