Wow, nice job Newegg :] They're pricing it $10 below MSRP. OWC has it $80 over. Typical.

The warranty is through Western Digital, not the retailer. So Newegg's warranty is the same. Unless OWC is lying about the warranty, which they have in the past.

From NewEgg, the drive is OEM, which means no box, no cables, etc. Therefore, it would seem that the drive has a 3 year warranty:

If OWC is selling a retail version with box, cables, etc, it has a 1 year warranty.

OEM devices usually carry equal or lesser warranties than retail, not vice versa. It's pretty messed up that Western Digital charges extra for retail drives to extend the warranty.

I don't believe the drive even comes in retail packaging yet, though.
